Thank you so much for watching!
I don’t know who actually reads this deep into the description but I appreciate you more than most for actually doing that. You’re just hella academic and one could say you’re a bit of a book worm.

  1. I didnt know you do also youtube videos aside x-account. I like a lot your work. Keep up doing great work! All your comments are fully correct maybe i would correct that he is 2nd half season player as this season he has been playing from beginning full beatlst mode but points came after his transfer to 2nd line with Demidov. From this moment he took over. He is that type player the more trust you give him the more in return you get back from him. He is very competitive. Habs are lucky they have Bobrov and Hughes who saw that unpolished gem in the beginning not like fans who would take Wright stupidly. Thats why the mgt gets paid for its job and fans can only cheer.

  2. Today we played against Sweden and we lost 5-3, but we we're chearing like hell cuz we're the first in the groupe

  3. Can you share those Family Guy pictures that were shown in the video? they looked amazing.

    Btw great video.

  4. The very important fact is the team mind. It is the most underrated circumstance….if they play like team, they can beat other team that is individualy better in ever situation

  5. I have to take issue with your first statement about the draft. (Just setting the record straight for my draft day opinion. LOL)
"Four years ago, Habs fans were NOT happy with SLAFKOVSKI going 1st overall."
That's a pretty big overstatement. I, in particular, was ecstatic! Not because I had scouted SLAF and knew more than most HABS fans about the top players. But I just KNEW in my gut that SHANE WRIGHT was NOT going to be a good pick. I was so damn dreading that they would pick him. And when they went with the big boy from Slovakia who won MVP at the Olympics, that was fantastic for me and a huge relief! Again. I'm not saying I had everyone scouted. I did not. But that kid from Slovakia screamed, "Chip on my shoulder / I got something to prove!"
Today, I can't imagine SLAF being on another team. Knowing what I know now, I would cry. lol

  6. Slafkovský is great, but our team looks better and better every yaer. Now it even looks like hockey…

  7. Habs will be a major force to reckoned with for the next 5 years. Next dynasty in the making, back to our former glory!

  8. I was gonna watch this but then you said habs fans weren't happy with the pick. no that was just the idiots

  9. You did not read the room at all if you think Habs fans weren't happy with Slaf going first. I mean, what are you talking about? A lot of Habs fans were thrilled!

  10. I dunno, I was pretty happy with the Slafkovský pick 4 years ago, and I'm a massive Habs fan (I always had doubts about Wright). And that pick looks better and better, the more time that passes. 2022 was a weak draft, but the Habs look like they grabbed the two best players in it nonetheless – Slafkovský and Lane Hutson. Passing on Wright was a bit of a surprise, but I wasn't THAT shocked. People assumed that just because he'd been at the top of the rankings for most of the year would mean he'd stay there at the end. But the Habs saw not what Slafkovský was at that time, but what he COULD be, once he adapted to his new, massive frame. He wasn't a traditional Calder candidate, 80 point-scorer in his draft+1 year, 1OA draft pick. But his potential was off the charts. And the team has always believed in him, giving him an 8-year deal north of $7 million AAV before he actually had achieved real results that warranted such a contract. But Hughes knew (or strongly suspected) what he had, and wanted to make sure Slafkovský knew what he meant to the team, what they expected of him. Some players wilt under that pressure, but sports psychologists are being used by all 32 teams now, and I'm sure they had reported to the Habs' brass that Slaf is built different (if it wasn't already obvious via the eye test). He thrived at the 2022 Olympics, the second-highest stage of hockey at the time (the NHL was the very highest since Beijing didn't have NHL players), when he was just 17. He welcomed the pressure, became a better player because of it.

Hockey is a game of skill and talent, yes. But there are players who have all the skill and talent in the world, and they just…underwhelm, consistently (a certain Nail Yakupov comes to mind here). Slaf is the opposite of this. He has the skills and the talent, but he's not actually, particularly special in any way – he's a generational Slovak (which is a bit less impressive than a generational Canadian), but when compared to the rest of the players in the league, he's only borderline elite, nowhere near a MacKinnon, Matthews, Marner or McDavid. And yet he consistently OVER-performs. He WANTS IT more than his opponent. And honestly, while I think he is naturally this way, it has definitely helped him a lot to see how Brendan Gallagher plays the game from close up over the last few years. No shifts off…always pushing, always going to the net, always fighting for the puck, even when it appears that you have lost the battle (how many turnovers happen because the person who "won" the battle gets cocky, and the loser manages to catch him sleeping?). Anyway, I'm really glad that Montréal was smart enough to believe in Slaf, because he is going to be a pain-in-the-ass for the rest of the league for more than a decade to come.

  11. Oh well ! I was wondering why my Slakovsky video I released yesterday wasn't getting any views …. I found why 😭 Great video as always !

  12. Speak for yourself, I know a lot of people might say this, but I wanted to draft Slafkovsky, and not just at the end, i was on the Slafkovsky train from almost the beginning! I was never a Shane Wright fan. I NEVER wanted to draft David Reinbacher either, looks like i was right on both picks, Habs should hire me as a scout! lol. Hopefully we can trade reinbacher before other teams notice how fragile he is, we should have gone with Ryan Leonard, that's who i wanted, and also, when we passed up on Brady Tkachuk, I WAS PISSED about that too, but no, we drafted for position, like we did with reinbacher, and went with Kotkaniemi, how'd that work out? They never learned tho, they said they did, that they werent drafting for position anymore, but the next draft, they did it again with their 5th over all pick! lol, ud think theyd learn to just take the best available player, but i guess not.

  13. I love the Family Guy style u put on the drawings! Great work, i wish i could draw, probably better that i cant, i have enuf tattoos now! lol.

  14. I was happy when the Habs drafted him. I always saw what they were hoping for with him. Can’t imagine if they had gone with Shane wright. Slag keeps proving the haters wrong and he’s only getting better and he’s still only 21. He’s gonna be a 30 – 40 goal scores and 70 – 80 points easily

  15. I appreciate your video but it would have been worthy to share that Slafkovsky lead Slovakia in the 2022 world Championships with 9 points in 8 games (3G6A) and ranked 13 in scoring against actual NHL players. The Canadiens didn't only have the Olympics to see him perform on a world stage but also the WC before the draft. I was one of the minority of Canadiens fans that was hoping the Habs would draft Slafkovsky over Wright. I'm happy the organization didn't bend to public opinion.
