No surprise, Connor is skilled but plays soft, invisible at times.
the coaches of team USA don't know how to deploy KC. He is NOT a 3rd line winger. He needs someone to feed him the puck, and Larkin might be a good 3C, he isn't the right C for KC. It's bonkers how BAD these coaches are

Good he finally realized, he just can't be.
Look at what makes celebrini good, fore-checking like a demon, and skating like it's his last day on earth. KC doesn't know how to fore-check and he doesn't know how to back-check. You can't dump the puck on when he's on the ice, because he can't retrieve it, he's terrible on the boards, is easily pushed off the puck, and only sometimes skates hard – when he feels like it.
Connor's offense does not matter when he is non-existent on the world stage. I see Jason Robertson getting selected over him. He can score too, but he is also far superior defensively, and can build chemistry with whoever he's play with.
The fact that Connor can only generate chemistry with Scheifele is beyond worrying. And for all their production together, look at their defensive numbers.
