‘The best is still yet to come’: Hayes on whether McDavid has another level he can get to

Is there another level that Connor McDavid can get to? What has allowed Macklin Celebrini to have this kind of success at the Olympics? Bryan Hayes joins SC with Jay Onrait where he shares his thoughts.

  1. But remember when Mackinnon was the best in the world not a month ago guys! 🙄 sports analysts kill me

  2. Makar, what are you talking about.
Makar plays with all elite players, help him pad his stats.
Who the fk does Celebrini play with on the sharks?
Makar is good, but not Werenski good.

  3. ok CDN announcer nut huggers….this gold game could bounce either way. A bad bounce or key save may be the deciding factor!🇨🇦

  4. Firstly, kucherov has been the best offensive threat since Christmas. 48 points in 20 games absolute insanity. Love Celebrini but get your facts straight. Second, people are ragging on Canadians to not get ahead of themselves and that the gold medal game could go both ways. There isn’t a guarantee that USA team is even going to make the gold medal game. All this talk about outclassing Canada’s goaltending and defence. 3 goals were surrendered against Denmark, that’s more than just luck or one bad bounce.

  5. I didnt' watch a lot of oilers games, knew McDavid was good, then last year at four nations I noticed that a collection of the best players and he was head and shoulders above them….mcdavid has a level above the rest, even MacKinnon who I love. Sid will go down as one of the most extraordinary players and top 5 with his accomplishments and always being on the right side of big games it seems. But McDavid may go down as the best offensive player of all time with tons of respect to Gretzky and Lemieux. He's on par with them in my mind

  6. I think Macklin and McDavid are so good together because Celebrini is one of few guys who can keep up with McDavid, lol. It's been a real pleasure watching them play together, all of Team Canada not just Macklin and McDavid.

  7. Is he playing against the other teams top line though or is Sid? A lot of these other teams only have 1 good line.

  8. As an edmonton fan I actually think its great he hasnt won a cup yet, it really keeps him on his toes

  9. I think the Tkachucks will cover McDavid like they did to Draisaitl which will open MacKinnon and Celebrini to do the magic they do.

  10. Doesn’t matter which team he’s on, who’s on his line, he drives the entire team and the entire team follows along. These are elite players and hes above and beyond them

  11. I beg to differ. It's so hard to ask for more from a player as spectacular as McDavid. The argument is that as the moment gets bigger his play will get better. Well, the past 2 cup finals haven't quite been than from him. And that's okay because even at the level that he's playing at now (which is top notch) it is still LEVELS from everyone else and that's all you can really ask from him.
