We know the NHL/NHLPA aren't a big fan of their players involved in the Olympics. They aren't a fan of the interference in their schedule, and especially having all their top players there a few months before the playoffs, with possibilities of injuries like this one. The push to be there more comes from the players.
People are already saying the NHL wont let the players go back in 4 years because of this… I think that'd just piss the players off, they love representing thier country! Anyway, hopefully he has a speedy recovery with no setbacks. As a Habs fan, I've seen my fair share of injured players, it definetly sucks.
I'm a Kings fans and appreciate Fiala. I think it's a tib/fib, maybe 6-8 weeks. These guys are elite athletes, if anyone can donit they can. That being said, hopefully he'll be back by playoffs. Am I wrong that if they place him on IR that opens up $7+ mil in cap room? That allows for a center like Kadri. Again I like Fiala, especially paired with Kuzi, but The Breadman can be elite. Throw in another center and now LAK is cooking.
