Wrestling strangers to see if jiu jitsu works

Wrestling strangers to see if jiu jitsu works

We went to Santa Cruz beach again to test our grappling skills on untrained people… and if they can take us down, they win $100!

Do not try this at home. All stunts performed by professionals in a controlled environment for educational purposes.

Thanks to all participants, Cleve, and Brianna for filming!

  1. "to see if jiu jitsu works"
    In what way though?
It works on beach sand in a friendly grappling match with no striking?
No hate, its always fun to see but just like what are trying to say here

  2. These are my favorite videos! you can clearly see your Judo experience coming together here. Just a small tip, when you do O Soto Gari you keep your leg static, try swinging it to create more momentum and secure the throw (It's "Large Outer Reap after all)

  3. Josh, fighting strangers in an uncontrolled enviroment may be the dumbest thing to do if you still recover from injuries. Are you really so desperately in need for conent? Please care for your health and don't do stupid shit!

  4. Josh, please do not quit jujutsu. You’re my favorite creator by far and I don’t know what I would do without your content. You’re a great content creator keep up the good work❤

  5. I hope the dude with the Afro joins a gym/academy because if he stick with it I know the dude will be a pain in the ass to roll/compete against. (In a compliment)

  6. Did you do combatives in the army beyond what was mandatory? I used to run the program for my unit when I was an MP in the Air Force…a bit more than a decade ago. They were the same program back then. We even used the army manual lol. After training BJJ since then, I found the whole program to be pretty much a joke. I wonder what your experience was. Cheers!

  7. "You felt just as strong as you look." In BJJ mentioning someone's physical strength is a low-key insult. Nice work Josh hahaha

  8. PLEASE PLEASE IM BEGGING DO MORE OF THESE VIDEOS it’s also nice to see Cleve in the vids 👍

  9. Recognized Santa Cruz the moment I saw the video thumb, wish I was living still there to participate

  10. I appreciate the slow motion replay of the takedown! Makes my life easier if I want to see it again to analyse it, thank you 🤙

  11. Fireman's carry was my weapon, I used to hit it instinctively, the weight of the opponent was irrelevant, I once got a 270lb judoka, I weighed around 195lb at the time, I lifted him and started walking with him on my back, it was funny.

  12. NO amount of RANDOM MEN you WRESTLE on the BEACH will EVER make that little MICRO PENIS grow a SINGLE CENTIMETER, you fuckin CHUMP. GO GET A REAL FUCKING JOB, ASS CLOWN.

  13. Always weird to see a video where Josh doesn’t use the word “TERRIFYING”. What am I suppose to think and feel now….

  14. The hip throw attempt at 13:32 would have been MINT if you'd turned it in to Harai or ashi/oguruma…

    Great video!

  15. To see if it works? For what? You know you can strike and kick in a street fight, and you don't shake hands after one ends on their back?
