  1. He needs to work on his arm and shoulder strength so he can get his arms up faster. Other teams are definitely targeting the area between the shoulder and the crossbar.

Long ago, When I used watch my favorite goalies like Arturs Irbe or Dominic Hasek, they seem to rely on their reaction time because they stood up longer thus protecting the upper half of goals, rather than today’s butterfly style goalies, that seem to automatically drop at the slightest hint of a shot. Butterfly goalies once down lose so much mobility laterally as well as open themselves to high shots. I hope Asky trusts more his instincts, stands up more, aggressively poke checks, and reacts more than seemingly auto dropping to your knees (which IMO is a lazy way to defend). There’s a reason those goalies are legendary.
