I would look at who has no trade clauses and ignore them, and see who the Leafs could actually move. Assume none of the guys with no trade clauses will move. They need picks and prospects to develop; the "bring in old guys for all our picks and prospects" plan hasn't worked.

So, Raddysh has been pretty good for 3-4 years now, he's in the prime of his career and he will get a good raise for this year. Why don't you think he deserves this, he's better than Rielly right now and you're right, he's not a number 1, but he will either resign with Tampa after winning the cup, lol! If you expect to get a great return for McMann who has not been that good then Raddysh will have what he deserves. Another thing about McMann, do you think he'd be playing on the first line anywhere else??? I don't think so…he's OK but he's got 32 points, that's not worth a prospect and a first round pick.

You can take a risk on a defensive player when you are already good. The leafs need to get better at a basic level.
I am a Bolts fan and my 2nd favorite team is the Leaf's. I am not sure why the press think that the Bolts will not resign Raddysh ? Where is that coming from? They love him here. Also, Raddysh really likes it here. I am not sure why you think he will get less money? They will pay him. You are both correct though , I think he does well in Cooper system , for whatever reason. To be honest, I do not know how or where the Bolts get their players ? It is a mystery . There are 5 players on the team who were never drafted ? I have always wondered how Tampa ever got a team at all. Living here, it seems like the most unlikely town to ever have any kind of hockey culture ? It truly is baffling. Add to that , that the team does well is crazy to us? For years, the northern states and Canada would say , well , you not a Hockey town. Interesting, in the pregame , Gary Bittman said that in the last 10 years under Mr Vinik's ownership., our venue has had more regulation wins, more playoff wins, and more people attending a hockey game ( over 7 million ) than any other venue in the world.
