Although the New York Rangers have already made two trades so far ahead of the deadline, it’s still very likely we’ll see at least a couple more deals happen involving the Blueshirts before March 6th. In today’s video, we discuss ten trade destinations for Vincent Trocheck & we look at a team that’s been linked with a possible trade for Alexis Lafreniere.

Only way Alexis gets traded ..if we get back a young top 5 pick on a team who has had a slow start Shane Wrignt ..and I would want more than 1 for 1
SINCE 67 WHEN I BECAME A FAN I HAVENT FEIT THE WAY I FEEI N0W T00 0FTEN, I HAVE 0000000 FAITH IN DRURY, WHEN THE DUST SETTIES THIS TEAM WiII STiII BE N0WHERE HE HAS PUT THE TEAM IN A N0 WIN SITUATI0N F0R MANY REAS0NS, DRURY REAIIY MUST G0, HE SH0UID N0T BE IN CHARGE 0F THIS "RET00I" !!!!!
Lafren for boeser, even salary swap? Maybe they add a pick? Boeser does have a concussion protocal though.
Laffy, like KJ Miller, might well thrive to some extent on a new team, and both Laffy and the Rangers could well use the opportunity. New coaching ,new position, new system for Laffy – and we get a player with similar potential back in trade.
Absolutely dead against trading Trocheck…exactly the type player we need to transition a batch of new young players in and help rebuild the team the GM destroyed.
Colton Parayko to The Rangers for Alex Lafrenier & 2026 2rd pick !
LaFrenière never panned out – had that one good season, and management thought he was going to be the next offensive weapon : never happened ! You can't even get mad at him : nice kid, but just doesn't have it !…. Reflects once again very poorly on Drury for pick8ng him !…. "Fire Drury" – has no feel for team chemistry : you don't treat (captain) Trouba, Kreider and Lindgren like that and expect the team to go on as though nothing had happened !…. Same with Callahan before, and McDonaugh !…. You just don't trade captains !….
We all know Drury is going to get screwed once again
Rangers can trade Laf to the Canucks for Elias Petersson! Oh Wait!
Full disclosure: I might be one of- if not THE biggest Lafreniere hype enthusiasts on the planet AND I have been screaming for a trade to Van as soon as I heard the first whisper of a rumour a few weeks ago. I think EP and Lafreniere are both supremely underrated AND have complimentary skillsets that would mesh perfectly together. Add in some of the other young studs- especially an up and coming Zeev mothalovin' "boom boom" Buuim- and I think we could be looking at one of the faster trunarounds weve seen out of a rebuilding team…
BUT…
NY has went through hell and back whilst retaining Laffy- even when they moved a lot of high value/upside bluechippers like Kakko. Im not saying its impossible but I imagine it would take a package of high value futures and thats probably the last thing Vancouver wants to move. Any honest guesses what might get it done?
Whats the pulse on Rossi these days? Im still a big fan but Im not sure where his trade value is at these days. He could be an actual legit starting point. I think youd need a package including a high pick and some type of sal;ary dump. I dont think Ziba works here but if theyre not sold on Gavrikov he could be an enticing move. Failing that theyve got an overabundance of mid tier assets who havent developed quite as well as hoped- so you could see a Cuyle or a Borgen go back…
Lafreniere, Borgen for Rossi, Willander, 2nd?
I see a big issue with most of these offers imho. People are suggesting packages they might offer for Laf in a fanmtasy hockey league or something. That WONT get it done irl. This is a guy theyve committed to waaaay too much to give away for peanuts now. They also have to be as conscious of the fact as anybody that he has NOT been givenm the deployment he needs to succeed yet. You cant really scratch off his upside yet and theyre in no position to move that out for sparte parts. If they dont move Laf they are going to try and build around him- so logic dictates theyl;l need those types of assets (aka the kind you can TRY and build around) to consider moving him.
I think Rossi is the key and Wallinder is a guy who makes sense as well…
