DK, thanks for mentioning russians continuing killing Ukrainians. It means a lot for us that people still remembers that all over the world, especially after a few ballistic missiles landed near me in Kyiv tonight at 2 AM, which is my usual time to watch my beloved Penguins playing. No heating, no electricity, no hot water, but a positive vibes for saving some charge at my power station to watch my favourite player start at Olympics today.

They need to run 5 defensemen and bring Hayes in. No need to mess up anything with the offense it’s damn near perfect. The pens best defensive play comes from the forwards and has all year!

as much as I love Sid and want him to stay with us, I want him to have one real final shot at winning the cup again. hes done so much for us, least we can do is let him go to a real contender if we dont get there.

Sid is the greatest WINNER ever in the sport of hockey. Period. Take into account that he's also a tremendous human being, it's just amazing.
I don't know how anyone could think the rebuild is over. The team is still pretty old and have too many guys plugging up spots where rookies/young players should be playing. They still need a couple more defensive prospects with higher floors and ceilings and they severely lack prospect depth at center (Kindel doesn't count at this point). They still need a couple good drafts to even consider being "done" with the rebuild. Hell, the sharks have Celebrini, Will Smith, Eklund, etc and are JUST getting out of their rebuild – pens don't have that kind of young talent yet. Once Sid and Malkin are gone people will realize what we lack (this is no shade on Kindel but we need more than just him). Horcoff, Zonnon, Howe, Rutger, Koiv all show varying levels of promise but until they're all playing in the NHL full time we don't know what we have with them yet.
Dk please keep the politics out. If you dont want the Russians arming Mexico with nuclear missiles and biolabs then you should expect the same outrage when we try it in Ukraine.
