There have been good moves (Gavrikov, Borgen), but far too many actions that undermined the team, destroyed morale, gave assets away for next to nothing.
The "leaked" memo and letter have been destructive.
Expecting once Dullard and Dreary give, er, trade away Trocheck, the disaster for next season will be complete.
For a team that sucks at drafting and developing young talent, giving away a guy who can lead/mentor/set the example – plus win face offs and score — should be the final straw.
Raddysh & Sheary– Garbage signings! The trades that really screwed the Rangers were made at the deadline when they were competitive. Vatrano, Copp, Tarasenko, Kane, Mikkola etc. traded for a bevy of draft picks that has resulted in the depleted system we see now. The worst part is that none of these guys were re-signed & were only rentals. This is GMing at its worst!!!! Signing Raddysh & Parsinnen for 2 years was insanity!
does anyone have any idea of what Drury is trying to aim for? younger, faster, stronger isn't an identity. those are qualities every team wants. Honestly, at this point I don't care what the Rangers do anymore. Last year was brutal and this year is even worse. Why am I wasting my time supporting a team that is so unserious and feels like it is being run by DOGE? I knew bringing JT Miller back was a bad idea and giving him the C when he has done nothing to earn it shows just how poorly conceived this new direction Drury claims he is bringing the team in. The truth is this: Drury has turned NYR from being the historical golden parachute of the league for aging superstars to come, play at MSG and get comped at the finest restaurants and orchestra seats for Hamilton. The word is that NYR is no longer a place players want to come to. NYR will never truly reinvent itself, it will remain a place where youth and talent go to die because the Rangers are always looking for the next big free agent to sign and Ranger fans are deluded into thinking that we are one free agent away from a Cup. I will not abandon the Rangers as my team, but they are not getting a dollar out of me for a very long time. If Ranger fans are truly sick of this toxic cycle of mismanagement, the only thing that will get Dolan's attention is ticket sales, merch sales and ratings. Dolan DGAF if the Rangers win a Cup. What he cares about is making the playoffs because that is his most profitable time. You want Dolan to make a change? Stop going to games and stop buying Ranger merch. Cancel your season tickets. Boycott the team and then maybe something meaningful will happen.
They didn’t need another 30+ year old in Miller. He’s been banged up and no way a captain.
Basically,the Rangers have sucked their whole existence!Without Messier, they never would of won their last Cup!As a old,77 year old Chicago guy, we should of won in 1971, and in the mid 1960 s,but we did not!We had the tools!If not for 2010,2013, and 2015, we would be a bust too!
