Why did Trout ever agree to that extension? So many teams would have paid him big bucks. The Dodgers would have taken him. The Mets. Toronto. The Mariners. Philly. Does he not like playing in the playoffs? (It’s crazy to think what this last WS would have been like if the Bluejays had Trout.)

I learned to totally love Trout given how much he loves Ohtani. Players as good as Trout are not always as giving with compliments in competitive areas so him claiming Ohtani’s BP is the best he has ever seen says something. When these embrace before a Freeway Series game, you see true, deep friendship.

I am thoroughly disappointed that the Angels couldn’t put a team behind Trout and Ohtani 🙁
It genuinely makes me sad to see Trout stuck with the Angels.
It’s sad to see Mike Trout waste his baseball career in Anaheim. Barring injury, he probably still is the best overall player in baseball without people even realizing it. He desperately needs to be in a much better situation, but his pride and that contract pretty much negates it.
What mike should do its take a massive pay cut then sign 1 year contract with the dodgers and final win a ws ring. Dude wasted a decade in MLB and got nothing out of it.

The Angels are a loser franchise due to a slacker who owns the team and general mismanagement. I was a fan for more than 20 years, starting in their season leading to the WS win, but finally left in disgust. When Ohtani signed with the Dodgers, I switched my loyalty to his team knowing that he deserved to be on a winner, get to the WS, etc. Trout, on the other hand, signed long-term with no reasonable expectation that he's be in the playoffs anytime in the near future. He doesn't care enough about winning, his loyalty is mostly a ruse, and he's now past his prime, injury-prone and so on.
I went to Angel stadium as many times as I could afford just to see those two. They always hit home runs when I go.
