  1. As Don Draper would say "that's what the money is for"

If I told my boss I'm not coming into work for a while and I don't know when I'm coming back, because my head's not into it right now… I WOULD BE FIRED SO FAST! (Oh and I definitely wouldn't be receiving millions of dollars for it)

  2. Sorry, but when fans are paying exorbitant prices for a seat, partly because we paid this goalie millions of dollars TO PLAY, and he can’t stay on the ice for physical or mental reason, it is our business.

  3. I used to wholeheartedly agree with Jeff and think that it's no one's business when it comes to off-ice struggles of players. But once the league got into bed with gambling and started to take millions from these companies, they lost any argument for privacy. If fans are going to bet money on games and futures, and the league is going to partner with betting companies and allow websites and blogs to be sponsored by these websites, then me as a fan and potential gambler needs to know every single detail of why someone isn't in the lineup.

  4. lol this is exactly what's wrong with this limp-wristed society these days, just claim mental health issues and no one can criticize you or even make you go to work. Journalists should be investigating and reporting to their findings to the public over an incident/absence like this, otherwise there's no point in the profession existing at all.
