Most fans remember the 1993 Montreal Canadiens as the last Canadian team to win the Stanley Cup.
What they don’t realize is how many things had to break PERFECTLY for it to happen:
In this video, I break down:
– How the 93 Habs avoided EVERY nightmare matchup
– The record-setting overtime run we probably won’t see again
– The underdog teams that cleared the Habs’ path not once, not twice, but THREE times
– The missed calls and gutsy moves that altered hockey history
It was quite possibly the most legendary cup run in history.

It's the best comment you will read today.😂
Grant Fuhr and his Buffalo teammates did Montréal a huge favor by sweeping Boston in the 1st round
🛡🥅🏒; and The Leaf💰 did Montréal a favor by taking LA to 7 games. I think Toronto might have won the Cup had they gotten by LA. The
Leaf💰 scored 9 goals on Patrick in just two games in the 1992/93 season. Sure, the playoffs are different than the regular season, but "Captain
Cr🤘nch" Wendel Clark was playing Great hockey🥅🏒🤜🤛🤘
That was the nords cup all day long
I would say the lucky part of the run was not having to have to play the pens
No one cleared anything the Habs, they won it all by playing as a team. The Habs all time record against Boston in the playoffs, its no contest. Montreal 25 – Boston 9.
Their defensive structure and goaltending coupled with a nothing to lose outlook is built to win when it counts most. I love when Leaf fans say that it would have been a great series, Ya, for Habs fans…..
