  1. I think they are definitely the strongest team in the east so they could win a cup! However usually the team I think will win does not so who knows!

  2. They’re about to extend the streak of having a Florida team in the final to 7. That’s crazy.

  3. What’s funny about our penalty minutes is that a lion’s share of those come from stuff getting out of hand against Florida. Like we had 81 in the last game alone. Wonder where we’d be if we didn’t rack up so many in those 4 meetings lol

  4. I remember watching raddysh and I always thought he had to skill set to be a top pairing Dman, great shot, great skater, not afraid to get physical and always thought his hockey IQ was good was well. Hedman and other Dmen getting injured gave him an opportunity to show off his skills and he ran away with it, real happy for the guy

  5. 9:54 Maybe. It's another reason to get back to the full conference playoff format instead of intradivisional. It rewards strong second- and third-place teams instead of punishing them to face each other. Likewise, strong division winners who advance aren't forced to face the strong team emerging from that battle. It makes for better matchups late in the playoffs, which should be what the networks want. But they're shortsighted and prideful as ever.

  6. “You could not live with your own failure, where did that bring you? Back to me.” ⚡️⚡️⚡️

  7. If you exclude penalties against the Panthers it's not that bad.
I just love the team chemistry this year.
Everybody is talking about Blashill, you need to watch "Recharge: Process driven" episode, it will give you a look inside coaches room. He was responsible for the neutral zone.

  8. Early-season injuries to forwards is, in a large part, directly responsible for Tampa's success this season. They shuffled and switched guys around until they found the Gourde/Girgensons/Holmberg line, which has turned into a matchup monster. The way the bottom six has performed this year is simply amazing.

  9. I think Tampa can win another Cup this season, but it won't be easy. Vassy has to stay healthy, that is most important. Then Kuch. Then Cooper has to address the poor face off aspect, and somehow negotiate the Blue line. It was great without the return of McDonagh and Hedman. Dastous and Lilleberg and Carlyle and Crozier……who gets sent down when all are healthy, and how to utilize the Captain when he is slow and no longer the top power play guy. Should be interesting.

  10. Arguably the best the Tampa bay Lightning have looked on defense since the cup runs, blashill is gone, coincidence?

  11. Of course they can, because Blashill is not there (thank you Chicago).

    2019-20: Stanley Cup
    2020-21: Stanley Cup
    2021-22: Finalists

    Then they hired Jeff Blashill.

    2022-23: First round exit
    2023-24: First round exit
    2024-25: First round exit

    Blashill left Tampa for Chicago

2025-26: Lightning look unstopable, defense is one of the best in the league, best cup odds in the East again.

  12. Im starting to think about coach and gm of the yr so far. So many close teams, Tampa had the bad start i thought they'd turn it around but not like this so im thinking cooper coach of yr, gm i gotta go guerin as of rn but then theres the sharks gm and coach. Tochett was definitely in running until christmas happened in philly. Been quite the season

  13. Jon Cooper may win his first Jack Adams award. Crazy considering he’s basically 300 games over .500 with the Bolts

  14. Good management/ coaching problem to have . Your youngsters that got plugged in played outstanding hockey. The chemistry balance would be tough to change recipe.
It's been a great NHL season, so far. Enjoy Olympics hockey tomorrow guys…

  15. If the Faceoff issue is addressed before the deadline they will be an extremely tough out. Shot suppression is the biggest change I’ve seen over the last few Bolts teams. Vasy isn’t as stressed and a rested Vasy plus a playoff built team is always lethal, the other weakness is open ice play but playoff hockey isn’t at 3 on 3 and for a lot of the younger guys this will be a relatively new experience going through any type of run but they definitely have the support on and off the ice to get through the trials of the playoffs. So I don’t think it will go exactly how it has in the past but the pieces are there they just fit different.

  16. Well I sure hope some team in Atlantic knocks them off by first or second round….I'm SICK of Florida teams going to finals . Aren't you , as a hockey fan ???

  17. "you get Hedman and McDonough back..you get even better" … Not so sure I can agree, as their absence created that vacuum for the younger and speedier defense to grow and shine. Hedman and McDonough are older and look slower. We will see how their return affects the fantastic chemistry that has developed. Shout out to the TBL scouts that find these undrafted gems. Who the hell needs draft picks with these scouts?

  18. The thing I love about Tampa the most is how good they at pulling random defenseman out of their ass who immedietly become solid 4-5s despite having next to no NHL experience.
