  1. His lack of production in the playoffs was incredibly disappointing. He had some good moments but too often he didn’t show up. Even Barkley Goodrow outscored him on several occasions.

The NHL is littered with players who score lots of points during the regular season but disappear during the playoffs. Artemi was just another one when he was a Ranger.

  2. Imagine if they could have developed just 2 of their top 4/5 forward prospects. I’d say chytil was the only one they developed but his career was ruined by injuries, guy is so unlucky.

  3. Not even close to th most dominant Gretzky Mark Messier leach that's just to start a few good goalies to

  4. Panarin was never a franchise player. If he's your best forward (let alone best player) you're not a serious cup contender.

  5. "Just 7 years after he signed" my man, no part of your argument requires you to pretend that playing for one team for 7 years is short…makes you sound like an idiot

  6. They did it to him my njd is doing it to jack and hisher and islanders are gonna end up doing it to Schaefer in the future unless they have a gm and coach that knows what they doing time will tell

  7. How pissed were the Rangers for having to pay a former female staff member who accused Panarin of sexually assaulting her to drop her suit and settle , signing a non-disclosure agreement ??? When the Rangers investigated did they find any other Panarin "incidents" that prompted them to think we should cut ties with him ?
In football , assaulting wife/girlfriend , carrying loaded handguns into crowded nightclubs or airplanes is perfectly acceptable as long as you produce on the field , they don't care what you do off the field apparently .

  8. Idk if this is a hot take but I never considered Panarin to be the guy because to me he was a 95 point player in a league where most good teams need a point 100 player

  9. Panarin is the all-time leading left winger in Rangers history with 607 points (205 goals, 402 assists).

    Panarin also:

    – Leading scoring average in Rangers history with 1.26 points per game

    – Second-leading points in a single season with the Rangers with 120 (49 goals, 71 assists) in the 2023-24 season.

Only with time will Rangers fans realize he's a club legend.

Panarin — one of the most underrated players in the NHL. But it's also his fault too — if he'd played in Tampa Bay, for example, with Kucherov (they had a great partnership in the Russian national team) and won the Stanley Cup, everything would have been different. But he chose comfort and money, and he couldn't care less about the Stanley Cup, unfortunately.

  10. Unpopular opinion here but he was just never good enough or big enough physically to make a impact at the highest level. As the playoffs got deeper Panarin got smaller and smaller to a point at which he was a no sho against the bolts and panthers respectively. Great regular season player tho

  11. First off he isn’t statistically the best ranger. Second off he did disappoint for multiple years they missed the playoffs. He really only played top level hockey for 2 seasons

  12. Man I thought being a Canucks fan was bad. Rangers are even worse and they’re an American team 😂

At least with Canucks we got 3 1st rounders in return for Hughes

  13. Bread kind of sucked during the playoffs which pissed off Drury who then fouled up the Rangers with the Goodrow, Trouba, Kaapo, Lingren, Chytle and Kreider debacles. Drury single handedly screwed over the NYR, and I do believe that the NYR stopped playing for him during the 24-25 season, and it kind of carried over to this year because Laffy still just totally sucks. He's got Pannarin like skill just can't use it with his head up his ass like it is.

  14. Everyone forgets the GM is hired by the owner. Bad other staff or lack of is from the owner. The wealthiest team in hockey original six shouldnt be missing or just adding or have bad staff which are all true and unacceptable especially for a NY team. I think it all goes back to Jim Ramsey thing id love tp know the truth there. But look at Toronto staff types amount and level vs rangers and rangers even 5 years ago when most didn't exist yet. Gorts and JD were fixing the whole franchise but owner couldn't have someone else get credit for fixing his mistakes so he had to destroy the only good he ever did

  15. They shouldnt have even signed him in the first place 🤷‍♂️ should have just kept building through the draft and getting the young players ice time.

  16. All the rangers success was overrated. They didn’t deserve to beat the Penguins in R1, and that was obvious. Team was never ready to sign a free agent like panarin, and everyone’s glad they have to go though this

  17. For a guy still in his prime (probably another 2-3 great years left), he chose to go to La and live a good life

    It is a mentality thing

Rangers didn’t ruin a franchise player. Panarin made decisions himself to prioritize a comfortable lifestyle over winning the cup
