Very divided thoughts! I feel Pickard deserves to be the 2 goalie for the oilers! No offence to Ingram! I am puzzled by the move! He should be the 1 sent down for the balance of schedule! The oilers biggest oroblem is no defence cohesion or system! Bad Coaching? Oilers had a good defensive coach in coffey! Better System!

Pickard was good reliable backup. Sucks that we put him on waiver instead trying to get some picks for him. Just like we lost Stecher for nothing.

This is a mistake by the OIL ( imo ) Thought I read somwhere bout Jarry calling out his team on they having to play better in front of him ? WTF Jarry – how bout some puck control ! Granted was not the best effort by the Oil ( but ) the difference ( imo ) the other Goalie made saves when needed ! – Maybe try that !
After last nights spanking and previous spankings Iām not sure if these two goalies are good enough. I donāt see the fire in this team as I saw in the last two years. I think Pick is better than Ingram (my opinion) like someone mentioned in the comments they could have done a package deal with him and Andrew and hopefully got a better player! Dumb move by Bowman. Right after a 7-3 spanking at the hands of the Wild.
In the last 4 games, both Jarry and Ingram have been pulled. Small sample size for sure, but having an affordable Pickard on the roster is not the team's biggest problem. The team's obvious top issues are the 2 that Bowman created. That is 1) having to pay $3.6M to Mangiapane for sitting in the press box for the rest of this season and next; and 2) Trent Federic's $3.85M cap hit for the next 7 and a half years!
Pickard is good insurance and has proved that he can win the team games in the playoffs when they need it the most!

Pichard has played better then all the other goalies in the last couple of years and seems like the team plays better when he's in goal.
Pikard was all heart and soul. He got us through that playoff series and he was lockeroom glue
I'm sad. I always liked Calvin Pickard. I believe the Oilers were left in an impossible situation with three goalies. Pickard was unbelievable in the last two years in the playoffs. Look at some of the teams they beat with Pickard delivering clutch performances. I also believe more changes are on the way, but I'm not sure what they will be. Until the trade deadline arrives, who knows what those changes will be! I seriously doubt this is their playoff team right now!
