The present AND the future is bright 🌞
The management, and certainly to their credit have gone the Detroit route from the late 80's, early 90's procuring Russian picks after the wall came down. Now Mtl has a conduit to players like Demidov & now Sharovsky. Lookin good… Ps, Detroit did pretty well racking up a couple of cups along the way!
Look at the issues with Michkov's work ethic. Bobrov is the reason we let him fall to the Flyers.

It’s so nice to have functioning leadership. Who aren’t afraid to take some chances, and are willing to make moves to get better. I can’t think of a single thing these guys have done wrong. Look at this team, amazing skills great talent, and all so young. They identify a need, and fill it. The parades will be legendary.

Adam Engstrom will be a player we all will be in awe when he comes next season on the roster for Montreal.
This reminds me when the Habs were basically the only team drafting out of the USTDP back in the 00s. They found plenty of talent there that went on to be pretty middle of the pack professionally until Cole Caufield & Lane Hutson. I hope Zharovsky will be that white whale that will opens the flood gates for the Habs to draft lowkey, overlooked Russian players.

It’s wild that Zharovsky was a 'ghost' in Junior B just a year ago [01:08]. The Bobrovs’ 'tentacles' in Russia are clearly becoming the Habs' secret weapon [02:06]. Which other team do you think is 'fuming' the most about missing out on him? Nashville or Spartak?
