This Should Have Never Happened

The Vancouver Canucks & the Minnesota Wild just made a deal that shocked the entire NHL. We break down the Quinn Hughes trade & what it means for the rest of the NHL.

  1. It's normally the case when the team that gets the stud player gets the better end of the deal, but I think Zeev will be great for Vancouver (you'll love him), and Rossi is a class act. Both of those players will be missed here. It's close to an even trade.

  2. This is nothing but a statistical analysis… it does not at all address "This Should Have Never Happened"…. but of course it did happen, easily, and predictably. There's no "psychology" to this video — it only hypes Minnesota ("wagon").No one in Vancouver was surprised, and no real NHL analyst was surprised. It was predicted. Clickbait.

  3. I'm no hockey player so forgive my ignorance but 3 + a first round pick seems like a crazy good trade no matter how good Quinn is. Don't get me wrong, I understand the idea behind trying to horde talent but its not like he can do the work of 3 players no?

  4. Quinn is amazing. With that said Vancouver got a great return for a guy that wasnt ever going to stay. Both teams won. 30% he stays if the Wild don't make a big push this year.

  5. "Potentially the best defenceman in the world…depending on the night" what a stupid thing to say…depending on the night, so is anyone. My grandma has the potential to be the best defenceman in the world…depending on the night…what an idiot…LOL

  6. My husband told me that Quinn reportedly said he would be open to staying in Minnesota, because the Wild were the only team to step up and trade for him when no one else did. I’m going to the Wild game tonight against the Caps, and even though I’m a bleeding heart Caps fan, I am excited to see Quinn play.

  7. This was some great Hughes for Minnesota fans and their fans are going Wild. Accept it, Trades are part of the game and give it some time and you might be surprised what the new guys bring to the to Vancouver lineup! Might turn out to be good trade for the Canucks the way things are going! Good luck from 👑👑👑🇸🇪 anyhow!

  8. Hughes is one of the greatest active players who unfortunately was not suited to lead a team. He couldn't control JT Miller and his drama in the clubhouse. All the injuries made it a one-man show. Sometimes a person is made CEO of the company and they find out he was happier being an employee. Great player who was given more than he bargained for.

  9. I'm a newer hockey fan, but it seems like it's not a usual thing for teams to trade their star player away…it feels pretty common in almost every other sport lol

  10. Quinn just never seemed like he was happy in Vancouver. Personally I'm not sad to see him go. He made it clear he wasn't going to stay. Hows that for a captain?

  11. Well, depending on how the Wild do this season…..they gave the Russian Kid a Gozilion $$$…Maybe the typical Minnesota Tight Ass thing ….Twins/Wild is getting break checked.

  12. I dont know too much about hockey players now a days but they traded almost an entire line for one guy?! He must be pretty good

  13. Trump should consider bringing Bettmann to cabinet if really wants an expert at screwing over Canada. Well maybe we will at least get a peak at some stars in the olympics.

  14. Imagine buying tickets for Canucks vs Devils, then Jack gets injured, still driving 9hrs to Jersey to watch Quinn and Luke play against eachother, then finding out Quinn got traded, then watching the Devils lose on an own goal. My wife was devastated

  15. Everyone crying doesn’t know hockey or played hockey he had one more year left before becoming a free agent where he’s going to leave for the devils to play with his brothers it’s a smart trade because we’re rebuilding and it’s a young team so we got a chance at Gavin mckenna and if we get mckenna Bédard might get lured in and celebrini the two Vancouver kids and one Yukon kid

  16. Really bad decisions in Vancouver go back much farther than this… Where do you begin?? Gritty North American players who grow up with dreams of Lord Stanley will always be a sure bet come playoffs.. Europeans are largely in if for the money.

  17. One of the best defensemen “Depending on the night” but yeah shouldn’t have happened 😂 clown take. 1st round pick alone was worth it

  18. Quinn has said that he wouldn't take 30 million a year to stay in Minnesota to pass up playing with his brothers and just remember… playing with his brothers is a once in a lifetime chance so he WILL BE A DEVIL VERY SOON

  19. Wild just get out of "CapSpace Hell" to sign Hughes LT, they will go right back in. Numb-nuts….plain numb-nuts of a move.

  20. If he wants a chance to win the Stanley Cup, I think he should stay. It takes time to start clicking as a team. It’s not an individual sport………… who got the better deal I don’t know one guy doesn’t make a team………. So far I haven’t seen all the hoopla that people are saying about this guy and it will take time he has made mistakes already at times he seems like he’s half dead. I don’t see the spark in him like people are saying.

  21. as a devils fan, I really wish he end up in New Jersey after this, it would be a blast seeing the 3 hughes brothers at the same team
