Patrick Laine has missed most of 25/26. He will only make a little over 2 million for the rest of this season. Stop quoting his whole salary… it isn't really applicable for the rest of 2026.
Trading Laine at this point is only a 1 million savings.
Laine has trading leverage still for many teams. 2 million won't stop them from interest in Laine. STOP giving away money!!
Montreal can probably unload him at $0 loss for some good draft picks for a team looking to take a chance at him. Why are all these podcast 'experts' wanting to give him away for nothing.

I'd keep Laine if I couldn't get a good deal for him. He could be useful for the power play & Laine may give 120% because he wants someone to take him in 2026-27 season.

for patrick laine it's simple the only team that makes sense is the avalanche, they are doing poorly on the man advantage. Problem is their salary cap. But maybe they can work something out by giving us a 5m asset player that will do us good.
