  1. As a New York Jets fan, I understand the pain of a long term drought. Hoping Buffalo can get there as long as it isn’t at the expense of the Islanders…

  2. I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again Sabers in Panthers out, EVERYONE LIKES THAT.

  3. tbh I think the players were playing to get Adams fired because they just a) didn't like how he was hired and b) didnt like him personally as a non hockey guy coming into the hockey world. In Hockey there IS a "Why the hell should I listen to u? U never even played in the NHL" level of respect thing.

  4. No the quick turn around after the gm was fired tells me he was absolutely the problem. It reads like you've had a super asshole type of boss for years and then he finally get's caught so you just celebrate and go nuts.

  5. Buffalo has a hard schedule, but if they can come out of the gate strong, get ten wins as fast as possible, they’ll do a lot to stay away from the drop line.

I’m curious what Jarmo does at the trade deadline; it’s clear from the last few games that the Sabres need to shore up some parts of their game to make a push in the postseason. And then there’s Tuch. I want to extend him, but 10.5 feels like a lot. If we make it to the conference finals, and he’s a big part of that, then I’d tell Jarmo to pay him whatever he wants.

  6. I want to believe…but they have lots of time to have an epic losing streak 😂…I really honestly want them to finally succeed and play until June 👍.

  7. Does anyone actually dislike the Sabres? Feels like we all can root for them after our main teams

  8. I think we've all been in workplaces where we thought, or knew, the boss (or bosses) didn't know what the hell they were doing. Then we got a new boss who seemed to know, and everything got better immediately, including the performance of the work force. Nothing changed, the workers were the same, the new boss didn't have time to do anything, but just the idea that "now the adults are in charge" made the big difference, and you, as a worker, see that there's a sensible direction you're going in and your efforts won't be wasted. I think this is what happened with the Sabres when Jarmo took over. Adams did a good job accumulating players but there seemed to be no direction and he was always floundering. We saw the same thing happen with the Islanders when Lou took over from Garth Snow. Snow accumulated all the talent that went on two deep playoff runs, but you knew it would never have happened with Snow in charge.

  9. Still irks me to no end that Brett Hull goal counted. Makes me root hard for the team since, and im a Sens fan.

  10. I like to believe that a GM is responsible for more than just player personnel. I suppose it depends on the team, but training facilities, days off, meals, road accommodations …. Doesn’t the GM at least have a say in it? Kekäläinen may have still had an impact since coming in.

  11. The league is better when all the teams are playing well. This is what I love to see man. The sabres have been painfully mediocre for too long, as have the Wild, Wings, Jackets, Mammoth/Yotes, so I’ve been overjoyed to see those teams playing well. I’m a born and raised Stars fan, I have no real reason to root for those guys, but I just think we’re all better for it.

  12. While Norris is a great player and a really nice guy…Ottawa found out what the Sabres are now finding out.. BRITTLE as glass. So sad for him and the teams that pay him. Almost 8 million a year and always rehabbing injuries.

  13. I’m a Rangers fan who is rooting for them it is such a good story plus it will bother Dolan if they do well 😂

  14. Here's my question… where did we get the 10.5 "demand" from? (Seems like it was invented by the T.O. media rumor-mongers, who are well known for their accuracy 🙄) Its not like we heard this from Tuch's own lips. Any of us out here in TV-land have Jarmo's phone line tapped?

  15. Can we maybe play a season or two in the Pacific? This division is absurd!
Genuinely happy to see Sabres fans and players loving hockey again rather than tolerating it. Good luck the rest of the way fellas!

  16. As soon as you said "Would he rush the stage and go this is mine!" I immediately thought of Shooter McGavin and then 2 seconds later you mentioned it lmao. Love it.

  17. sabres in the cup final wouild be amazing……even if they dont win. that would be a nice welcome back to the post season for them.

  18. I never had a team in the Eastern conference that I truly liked. I liked watching Ovi and Oshie with the Caps, but that's as close as I got. When Buffalo got Doaner and Kess, I became a Buffalo fan (Not over Utah, but as my Eastern team). I'm super happy for Doaner going to a team that sees his ability and puts him in the right spot to reach his potential. I hope they make it to the playoffs and go far. Congrats to the lifelong Buffalo fans! The happiness you must feel this season, after so much suffering over the years, is well deserved!

  19. Jarmo turned the team around and lit the fire under the boys asses. Kevin Adams couldn’t do that. Personally I don’t think Adam’s gets any credit. He let the team deteriorate under his management.

  20. And Buffalo in first 30 games of season had by far the most injuries, even now they still have tons of guys hurt. Youngest team in league last time I looked, so many great forever picks by Adams…Poor Adams built the right team it just took an extra few years to get them rolling, this year he was screwed with guys out.

  21. Shannon, as you are long time long suffering Canucks, you should know to keep that paper bag handy. NO matter how bright the the future looks, and you have seen this parade before, things can go quickly south.
