I'd rather them trade Kampf before Brodie, but that just barely gets them under the cap. Brodie would give them some elbow room. Of course, if things are still at an impasse with Nylander, one could say trade Nylander. But, one wants something tangible in return and that something probably doesn't create much cap space. On second thought, it just dawned on me that Brodie wouldn't create cap space, the way LTIR works. So I think Kampf is the odd man out.
Everyone laughs but the move was Marner before he hit his No-trade.. Could have signed Willy to 6 year at 8.7 million. You are getting 35-40 goals and 40 assists a season and he performs in the playoffs.. Then for Marner you can get a Top 6 player and a 1st round pick and save 4 million. Dubas gets a lot of praise but he made some very bad moves that were signed off by Shanahan.. The leafs will not win a cup with Shanahan as president.. He is a complete A-H0LE
