The Philadelphia Flyers explode late against the New York Rangers and win by a score of 5-1. The Wells Fargo Center was absolutely dynamite and it was the complete opposite of the Anaheim Ducks game where no one showed up. Of course the rivalry played a factor in that. Kevin Hayes scored two goals in this one and I am sure it was extra special as he faced his former squad. Remember, Alain Vigneault used to coach for the Rangers organization. Carter Hart was magnificent and made an obnoxious amount of big saves. Travis Sanhiem delivered for two goals and also recorded an assists. James Van Riemsdyk got on the score sheet a couple times as well. The team is clicking and flying right now, but a ton of their success is coming at home. They fly out west for a true test coming up this weekend.

A huge west coast trip coming up. Flyers 1st 3 games against bad teams. Need Wins. They havent won a road game against the Western Conference. Need a strong trip. Seems like Flyers have the Sixers road ways. 4-2 at least. Again see what happens when a team has competent coaching. Go Flyers Im way more into them right now then Sixers.

If you listened to talk radio in this town, you wouldn’t know the Flyers existed. I sort of blame the radio stations as they don’t hire hosts that care about hockey so of course they’re not going to talk about the sport. But it’s another day on WIP and 97.5 on whether Carson Wentz is a franchise QB or not? Lol
This flyers team has each others backs. No matter what happens they rally and believe in themselves. The 3 game losing skid in Minny Colorado and Winnipeg was because of the shock of Oscars news being burnt out from so much travel in the first half of the season. It's going to be a fun second half and with Laughton Raffl and possibly Patrick coming back it gets better. Great job Philly!!!! Go flyers!
The Flyers always score late goals to win games, and we all know two very important people that were former partners with the Rangers, AV and Kevin Hayes, and this game was special for both of them, and Hayes wanted all those goals he scored against his former team, and Sanhiem, whoa, scoring 2 goals in this big win, we are back in 3rd place in the Metro.
