  1. I went to high school with Ejov. We were good friends back then. He was the goalie for my local junior team. He’s married to a good friend of mine. Happy to see him working for the Habs. The team bob hartley coached and Marty st-Louis also played for. Small world.

  2. Low likelihood as it starts up the 3 goalie system. Never believe anything Fakeout Friedman. Pagnotta is a fool, Kyrou is soft and shown unreliability. A soft player playing with Suzuki and Caufield would destabilize the line. Currently the Habs have 3 overpriced contracts.

  3. Hello Josh and Jesse, here are my thoughts! …Starting with our goalies, my fav players are typically skaters, but because of their attitudes I love both Fowler and Doby and they are definitely the future and I am here for it (and the pudding Jesse often mentions). Best case, Montembeault does well and we don't have to bring Fowler back this year, and we can wait until next year for the young goalies….Regarding Top 6, much to the disbelief of many fans who really don't seem to understand anything more than G-A-Pts stats, acquiring Danault has solved the C problem. I agree we can let Kapanen ride at 2C, let him learn and grow where it is already happening. Regarding a Wing for the first line, I think we already have some talent that we can use there this season: Dach, Texier, maybe Laine or Newhook, or even Anderson if you just need a puck-getter. I would rather see no trade this year, ride with what we have and see what's really needed this summer, then make the trades if we find a deal. And for the people who just look at stats, the Habs are not having problems scoring goals this year…Bottom line, no trade is likely to be cheap or be likely to get us a Cup this year. Even if the Habs don't make the playoffs, they are learning a lot just competing in the Atlantic Division. Next year is going to be even better, and I think we get to the Cup finals in 2027-2028 at the latest! That is, if we don't become the Rangers (trading away the farm) or the Canucks (a soap opera with a cast of players with bad character). Trust the process! … Regarding D, I think the only move the Habs might make make is trade Struble and bring up Engstrom. I hope they are not thinking trade Xhekaj (he will be valuable in the playoffs)! Again, I don't think we have to do anything this year with the D, and we can sort it all out over the summer. I bet both Reinbacher (RD) and Engstrom (LD) are both ready for NHL next season. Wait for it.

  4. I'm trying to understand why the Danault line is being referred to (in your graphic and on Hockey Night in Canada) as the fourth line. It is obviously the third line. No way Veleno is on the third line.

  5. Please stop taling about Kyrou. It's nonsense. 1. He's heading towards 50 pts this year. 2. Unless it's 50% salary retained, I wouldn't take him if he was free. 3. Dach is better than him. Newhook and Texier just as good….but we would give away serious assets for this guy (who is over paid). 4. That's some serious risk on the remaining length to his contract. 5. We have a surplus of roster players. At least one (maybe two) roster players would need to go the other way. (Evans, Anderson, Texier, Newhook)? IMO, the only way the Habs give serous assets for a winger is if they get a 80-90 pt, legit first line winger. KYROU IS NOT THAT PLAYER.

  6. MTL will trade Laine to get rid of him and retain half his salary but they aren't making any other trades for a 2C…….any big trade will happen in the summer
