  1. As a life long fan of the Note, thank you so much for making this! For real. Go Blues! 2025 is our year. (just a heads up: his name is pronounced "Pet-ran-Jello" 🙂

  2. I love this organization so much man, even if we only have one cup win. I will never be a fan of any other hockey team

  3. Great video, only gripe I have is the butchered pronunciations for a couple players (Pietrangelo especially)

  4. 5:15 who the fuck is "Patreon Gelloh?" When you do an essay don't you usually verify information? At no point did you think "maybe I should look up how to pronounce this."

  5. I love how people forget this fact, but they were dangerously close on the season's final day of WINNING the Central. Preds, Jets, Blues were separated by a slim margin. That year was incredible.

  6. Just started to follow hockey this year and chose the Blues as "my team." Thank you for putting the work into this video, it was great to learn about that season!

  7. This was good and all, but you forgot the other key aspect of this incredible run and that's Laila Anderson.

  8. Going into that season, I thought we looked good on paper. As a lifelong player myself, I knew it would take time for players go gel but I didn't think we'd hit bottom. The season looked toast by the end of December. That's not going to stop me from going to the games though. Right after new years I bought a ticket package for the rest of the season. What I also didn't know would become the most amazing ride as a StL native and Blues fan. Something strange happens when players feel like they have noting left to lose. Seeing the records we made that year. Being there for the franchise record 11th win in a row in OT against Toronto. The playoff games at home were epic. The Jets win when we flung the puck from the corner and swatted it out of the air to win it with no time left. I also recall people writing us off in the Dallas series. I knew that was the wrong move by then though. When the Blues won they dominated. That's the ebb and flow of hockey. There was a vibe in St Louis on the way up and for a long time after the Cup that had to be exprienced to be understood. There were so many things that happened that year that made it a special story book run that no one could have predicted. For me that season will forever be a bittersweet reminder. The very special person I had made memories with at all those game is no longer here. It's been a few years since then but the pain of losing them is still strong.
