Absolutely, grab him
Mom I made it on a video lmao 🤣
Gaureenteed Hawks wont draft him even with a no 1. But some slow Dman project yes.
mckenna's got grit
STENBERG!!!
Absolutely we should. Canucks need a good tough Canadian boy for once. This will go away.
guys have their own version of gold diggers mouthing off to people with money and then charging them to settle out of court… just like those who reverse into a car behind you and say you were rear ended….
The whole thing sounds like a dismissal.
The other guy wouldn’t leave Gavin alone.
Called his mom a lady of the night.
Got kicked outta the bar and waited for outside for Gavin to finish his night and then kept at him outside.
Draft the kid if we get the top spot. He’s the guy you can build the franchise around.
This is perfect for the Canucks. We need someone with a backbone and willing to stand up for his team. All the more reasons to draft him.
If it is true that he was defending his mother, this lawsuit will go nowhere. I remember a few years back a dude was trying to harass Mike Tyson on a plane, and Mike Tyson punched him with no consequences.
If Canucks is smart, pay for his lawyer fees. Friendly gesture will go a very long way.
Been waiting over 40 years for the Canucks to draft 1st overall. Now I don’t want them draft 2nd. This is so Canucks.
I’d say that should make his draft stock better because it shows he has amazing talent but also that he can stand up for teammates
Draft him… Speed, Skill, Finesse and can fight.
Nah. Let him fall to the Hawks.
The Flames will draft him he is a Flames for life.He will get a top notch Lawyer and beat this charge. He is a fantastic player get ready for 72 in Flames colours
He shouldn’t have gone #1 anyway
No we must take Ilya Morazov as first pick. Guy has NHL size and grit. Stop drafting tinny guys it killing you. Guy will score 16 to 25 goals a year.
Stop attacking McKenna you have no idea what went wrong.
If McKenna has the instinct to Protect and has Real Power in his Fists to break a jaw THEN I WANT HIM ON THE CANUCKS.
Guy almost killed someone his draft should be postponed until the courts are done with him in got that charge once it's serious and breaking a jaw with fist does not give u that charge he had to of used a weapon of some kind
If he turns into a good player thing of what they could trade him for?
no, not anymore > he's a hardened criminal facing 20 to life
I wouldnt draft McKenna if hes still due in court by the time of the draft
MacTavish pleaded guilty to vehicular homicide and played 18 years in the NHL with 9 years as a coach…yes, the Canucks should still draft McKenna if he's available. I doubt they would pick him if we do have the 1st pick, though.
He might drop to 3 too.
Hockey fans are so Heated Rivalry. Punching a guy in the face for disrespecting you is super necessary.
With the Canucks draft history. Even though the Canucks have been horrible for 2 years…. they will fall 2-4 spots in the draft.
If they draft McKenna, I hope they draft the Ruck twins…. Go Tigers!
Yep.
whom should Canucks draft, but if McKenna still in draft, I wish Canuck trade down to get Ivar Stenberg
No NHL team should should bring a criminal
When I watched Gavin McKenna in the World Juniors semi final game take a guys head off for running his goalie in the crease with minutes left in a tie game, now he is bar fighting after a game in front of 78,000 fans outdoors He is from the Yukon, he will stand up for himself and his team mates, A future captain, enforcer reincarnation of Bob Probert . I am sick of Canucks players after games crying and face down to his boots, I want a wait until next game and see what happens guy , I want Gavin McKenna !!!
If Patrick Alvin is there on draft day , zero chance for Gavin McKenna , lets wave flags, towels, banners whatever for draft Gavin McKenna now , contribute to his legal fees , get out of jail free cards , whatever it takes . I dare anyonbe to put Gavin McKenna on a line let alone the ice with EP40 Canucks training camp to be held in Whitehorse Yukon please lord , legand is bvorn a tough talented Canadian Legend with New Coach , New Star live from Whitehorse Yukon Canada .
This kid's gonna live and learn.. The Canucks could use some grit anyway!
Kevin Bieksa got his first pro contract with the Canucks in 2004 after a parking lot fight with teammate Fedor Fedorov while with the Manitoba Moose. The GM at the time, Brian Burke, heard about the fight and immediately signed Bieksa to an NHL deal, saying he was impressed by his toughness.
At least he wouldn't be like Daniel and let Marchand slap him around.
If I were the Canucks I’d definitely draft him. He just proved he is a stand up guy. It is basically an unwritten law that you don’t let anyone disrespect your mother. The guy he hit started the confrontation. The guy should have been listening instead of talking. This just proves to me that Gavin is a lot tougher than I thought. Everyone should support him.
Just give him 5 mins instead 20 years
The situation with the assault charge is a joke he was defending his mother if Vancouver doesn't pick him I will stop watching.
