  1. As much as I admire Lohrei's offensive talents, he still lacks on the defensive end of things. If that part of his game can get sorted, he'll be a member of the B's for years. Peeke would be my likely choice to be moved. Even though they gave Jokiharu a new deal last summer, I'd move him instead of Peeke.

  2. According to the information on Mason Lohrei's Wikipedia page, "he made the decision to switch from forward to defense in order to get more playing time."

With that, he hasn't been a defenceman for his entire hockey career. So, of course he has offencive abilities, but his defencive side is typical of what you'd expect for such a young player that's still learning one of the hardest positions to master.

He's only been in the league, for a couple of seasons, and those couple of seasons have seen 2 different coaches and an interim coach. That's a lot of adversity.

As I'm not here to make excuses for his play, you either have it or you don't. Over the last several seasons, majorly, the Bruins have been on the wrong side of firings, trades, contracts ($8.25 million/season), and allowing players and goalies to walk (Bussi).

  3. Mittlestat should go to a different team. He is a great player but he isn't physical enough.
