No big deal, he was unhappy, can't always be on top of everything.
And Somehow This Team Beat The Oilers
They had a great season until December, and then since December they've been horrible
The guy can’t cut his own dinner without hurting himself. What do you expect from him he’s not all there.
Jack has 2 different personalities. There is Jack the player on the ice and Jack being interviewed by the media. He hates media interviews but you're getting paid millions between your team, the Chipotle deal, and RWJBarnabus Health deal so guess what, suck it up and play the media game. I don't think his comment was a slight at fans but there were better ways to handle that question. The comedy in all this is fans think Jack is going to leave or ask to be traded because he and the entire team look dejected and have effectively quit in the last month of hockey. If Jack is that soft that he wants to leave because of fan reaction on the socials to a poor performing team than he can kindly go. If you want fans to cheer for you, give them a reason to cheer. Go out there ball up, score goals, and win games. Aside of Arseni Gritsyuk, Cody Glass, and Lenni Hameenaho, this entire team is a hot F'ng mess right now. FIRE TOM FITZGERALD!!!
Eh, this is nothing. What is he supposed to say?
The ownership and GM have failed so the fans are turning on the roster.
Frustrated Gasoline on the incompetent fire.
I’m not sure you listened to the full clip—the headline is combining two completely separate comments. The “pay to see me” line was said two years ago to another player while he was heading to the penalty box. The recent comment about having nothing to say to the fans and Has Devils fans “panties in a bind” is being taken out of context.
If you listen to the full exchange, he said he has nothing to say to the fans and that it’s on the players to turn things around. His comment wasn’t directed at the fans—it was about accountability within the team. The players are responsible for the losses, and it’s on them to start winning.
Honestly, Devils fans are becoming almost as soft as the team has been this year.
Markstrom – I swear he has at least 5+ games this year where he has let up a goal on the 1st shot.
Hughes brothers are made of glass what do you expect
I think Jack has the Olympics more on his mind than the Devils. If you watch his interviews he changes his demeanor and instantly gets chatty about hanging with Superstars and representing USA. He should care about this team with the same enthusiasm
Hmmmm…. Red Wings would like a 2c that produces a PPG.
Trade him asap please
I'm old school Lou with this. Too many Jerseys sold, not enough performance on ice. So talented a skater, but made of glass, bulk up like Nemo bro! I have season tickets for this mess!
American Players are soft as puppy poo. Swedish players are drama queens….shall I continue?
