If Greentree becomes a top six player who can score goals than it will be ok. I would rather have him then Panarin signing on July 1 and the Rangers get nothing back. There is no player out there that could replace Panarin on the Rangers in terms of production. I wanted Brandsegg-Nygard and a first from Detroit. If I couldn't get that I would have resigned (or tried to) resign Panarin. Something like 3/45. That's why I would not make public that Panarin will not be resigned. That hurt the Rangers in terms of leverage and that's why Drury needed to stay quiet. However, this trade is the reason GMs and play hardball when they can.
About what I expected from clownface Dreary. But Dolan won't fire him for some reason. Maybe Dreary has compromising photos of Dolan or something….

Everyone is gushing out what a great player panarin is, yeah maybe during the mean nothing regular season. In the playoffs he completely disappeared and was not a factor at all. He was too small and was just pushed off the puck. Not to mention he never back checked. He is getting old and wanted a bunch of years at big money. Good decision to get something rather than just let him walk.

For 2 yrs at 11, I think the Rangers should have signed him. BUT, I feel there is much more to the story and much more to Pan's character that we dont know.
1. He was one of the quitters last year
2. He said he would not give us hometown discount, yet signs 2 yr deal
3. He tells everyone he wants $50m but won't sign with the Caps and just screws us with the Kings
