Holland needs to keep his powder dry, keep the few legitimate blue chips in the pipeline and quietly retire from hockey in the offseason.
This entire turd of a front office needs a double flush and a new philosophy and system brought in. Then, with fresh eyes and voices, decisions can be made about the path forward.
if it is Panarin i am absolutely cool with it.
the Kings have the 4rth best defense in the league. they have some of the best goaltending in the league.
all they need is offense.
Panarin would be the points leader for the Kings right now.
he isn't my first choice, but I would welcome the scoring right now.
we need to score more than 1 or 2 goals per game.
Jim Hiller will not know how to effectively utilize Panarin.
Please god no. Don't sell the farm for ANY player. We're not one player away from a cup, there's simply no point. Start the rebuild now.
First of all, Panarin would be a fine addition…but he is not going to solve the Kings' problems. He would have been a good addition last summer, but I don't think he is what they need in the middle of a season.
Secondly, very few (if any) Kings fans would name Wayne Gretzky as the "Face of the Franchise" . For me, it would either be Dave Taylor or Anze Kopitar…and I'd lean toward Taylor just because he was the GM who drafted Kopitar, Quick, Brown, etc.

I think most important the Kings need to work fitness ! And if they want to keep the defensive structure fine , however they need to take more risks on offense by sending in all 3 forwards and d pinching and shooting from the point way more ! Haven’t had blue shot that gets tipped or tapped in in awhile and not enough of those !

Wayne Gretzky's not even my 10th favorite king of all time. How is he the face of the franchise. He never won a Stanley Cup with the Kings.
Noooooooooo!!!! The only deals they should swing are to get rid of current roster players for draft picks and dump cap space for the rebuild. I advocated for Blake to acquire Panarin about 7 years ago, but I wouldn't advocate for it now at this point in his career while he is a free agent.
What about Robertson?
The only trade I will be happy about is if it includes Doughty. Tired of his self absorbed, egotistical attitude.
Panarin is not the Jeff Carter / Gaborik equivalent trade to save this team. Especially not with this head coach. Terry Murray > Hiller.
I don't for a second believe Panarin will want to come to LA given they are further away from the Stanley Cup than other potential destinations.
Why did the organization in the off-season seem to want to ride with veterans at the sake of younger players development yet now we see a ton of young guys and Reign players making impacts on the team. Why? Was there no faith the young guys could compete?
