As I said earlier, I don't want this Kings leadership group making any personnel moves. As we have seen, this team is mediocre. They are definitely not as good as last year's team based upon the eye test and the win/loss record. Your description of them as "ok" is very accurate.
They need a center not a wing, plus Panarin wants too much. Look at Pettersen from Vancouver. Him and Kempe are good friends, but I would hold out until what he does during the Olympics. The only prob with that tho is if he plays amazing in the Olympics, his value may go way up.

IMO you need a more skilled player be it a winger or ideally a Center, another guy who does the dirty work in front of net and abrasive like Perry, then a puck moving defender.
You’re likely not getting all three but at least get two of those if you are serious about going for a run this year. Thing is though I would not spend more than the extra second and third rounders we have this year and player wise only Fogs/Moore

Kings would need more than Panarin. And at what cost for a 34 year old? Pray he don't go to Vegas or Colorado
We need a proven scorer who CAN check and stay defensively responsible. Jason Robertson style guy. But that ain't happening anytime soon. Panarin is NOT the answer to ANY of our problems.
Holland will, giving up 3 young players plus draft picks and signing this guy to a 4 year $32 million contract!
Panarin is a great player, but will be 35 next season and wants a $50M deal at 4/5 years. Too old, too much money and he’s more of a complementary player and we don’t have that cornerstone player for him to feed off of.
Im all in favor of retooling this team and shipping out a Moore/Fiala/Foegele for draft picks and prospects.

Pass on Panarin. Hiller would probably make him a shut down, third-line center. Also, I’m sure Gavrikov MUST HAVE spoken to Panarin about his experience in LA and with Hiller.
Kings are mediocrity defined, look at all their OT losses. They just don’t have it to rise to the next level.

My eye test is this team needs goal scorers and needs to get better on the blue line. We look old and slow and need to do better on our drafting.
Well, if they let me do some simple math without actually doing them now,.Kopi has not played anything Close to the way he has last year and you been hurt for part of that but we can also see the drop off. It’s obvious. Fogle doesn’t seem to be effective (may be hurt). Filled it down, never had steady linemates, and I think it was completely frustrated with the coach. So now we have fewer face off one that cuts a few points out. Hiller’s finally letting Clark out.
The Bread Man in not worth the cost for what he would bring to the team in the short term.
Would Panarin make a difference like Carter made a differnce? I think yes, but not nearly as impactful like Carter did.
