The 2026 NHL Stadium Series between the Boston Bruins and the Tampa Bay Lightning may have been the best game of the season. A HISTORIC comeback, A GOALIE FIGHT!? and more. We break down the tactics and game in today’s video.

  1. The puck shoot for the hospital was cring. Sorry Billy you're gunna die because some frail guy couldnt make an impossible shot while millionaire athletes watched on.

  2. On the broadcast in OT, you can clearly hear the refs blow the whistle over and over and over, except Kucherov was the only one listening apparently.

  3. The officiating let Tampa get back into the game. No way was the NHL going to let it be a blowout and lose viewership on a huge game like this. The officials turned a blind eye to the lightning while micro managing the Bruins play. Honestly that was a shame and too obvious.

  4. Boston was playing as if they were the home team thinking they were gonna get away with all of those penalties! They had so many in at once, the penalty box looked like the bench!

  5. I know you do the weekly summaries of the league, but I would love more recaps like this, just 10 minutes focusing on one game. Your recaps are so good, dude.

  6. The Russians have… THE best forward…. THE best goalie…. and THE greatest goal scorer of ALL TIME…
Plus Malkin, Panarin, Shesterkin, Demidov..etc etc etc..

And they can't play in any of these inbred tournaments, or the Juniors, or the Olympics..its an utter joke of a sport when the number of world class hockey nations can be counted on your fingers, and the consistent #1-3 best country ever isn’t allowed in.

If we REALLY want to see who has the best system, Russia MUST be allowed to play.

Cuz if they DON'T play?..it’s another meaningless, masturbatory tournament…proving nothing.

  7. What did we just witness? We witnessed the most rigged game in NHL history. These Stadium games are supposed to promote hockey to bring in more fans but, all it did was show how awful these referees are. It's one of the reasons that hockey isn't taken as serious as the other 3 major sports. It was going to be a blow out so, the referee took it in his hands to make it an even game. I've been a fan for over 50 years and have never seen something so shameful in hockey. What a black eye especially knowing that the whole nation could have been watching.

  8. Really rooting for Boston in the east. Big Marco Sturm fan. Met him when he played for the San Jose Sharks. Such a nice guy.

  9. Horrendous officiating, every bruins penalty was a penalty except the questionable slash which they allowed us the B’s to skate to the other end of the ice and score. Lightning got away with so much, fire every NHL Ref

  10. It was a great game and I can't really blame the Bruin faithful for feeling salty towards the refs…
    Guess they're the #1 penalized team for a reason though… Go Bolts…

  11. Am I the only one who find hockey fights boring and scripted? Wish the nhl would do away with this nonsense

  12. I can't agree with this being game of the year. If this outcome happened organically then sure. But if you look at the replays, a lot of penalties Boston took were directly caused by non-calls on Tampa. As an example, Sean Kuraly gets cross checked to the ice and falls onto the puck. Then gets called for closing his hand on it. Wouldn't have happened if the cross check got called. Then there's Mark Kastelic getting called for roughing, but the 3 guys who went after him getting nothing. In a situation like that it's almost always matching minors. Why is it different now?

Call it incompetence, call it bias, call it whatever you want. But the officiating directly affected the game. It's really hard to look at the officiating and think that there wasn't a conscious attempt to get Tampa back into it, create more drama, whatever. And the Pasta penalty in OT really seals it. Boston had possession long enough to cross all 3 zones before the play was blown dead. There's zero chance that wasn't a conscious decision.

Honestly If that's how these outdoor "spectacle" games are going to be run then I think I'm done with them entirely.

  13. Besides our cup runs, this was the best hockey game I’ve ever seen. The win was just a cherry on top! Go Bolts!!
