I think Pettersen drags down whatever line he is on last season. An 11 mil per year player should not have to keep getting moved around trying to find the right fit. Anyone who is trying to say DeBrusk is the problem and Pettersen catches all the heat…. stupid comment. He makes more than double the amount of money. But because we are stuck with Pettersen, Frankie you are definitely right.
Pettersson's line mates are on another team. Any other team, I don't care which.
I am not impressed with him at all I hope he can turn it around and become the player we all know he can be I don’t know if he needs better linemates but something has to happen. Otherwise he is a waste of money.

The Lotto line had exactly the what Frankie mentioned Pettersson and Boeser were your skilled players and Miller was a dog in a bone working to retrieve pucks. Further to that though both Petey and Miller could carry the puck through the middle of the zone into the o-zone. It’s what made them so dangerous. You add into that Hughes and his ability to carry the puck up the ice.
That’s what Petey is missing now. A line mate who can support in puck control and be a puck retriever in the offensive zone. I don’t think Kane helps with that. I think it should Öhgren and Garland on his wings.
Kane and Garland will NOT be able to improve Petterson, neither would Connor McDavid and Leon Draisatl or any other combination. When are people going to start realizing that Petterson does NOT have the right stuff and never will? He's only an average player, not a franchise superstar.
