Hindsight is 20/20 but I said it the day they signed Tavares to 7x11m. They didn't need him at all. They had their core to build around. That 11m could've gone to the back end. He was bringing the cup on his back! Now, he takes the team friendly deal but the window is closed. But definitely some nice pieces they can move before the deadline.
I actually really hope they consider trading Matthews. He isn’t clutch, he isn’t a good captain, and we could probably get a good return for him.

Mathews is the guy to go. He has not lead the team with his lackluster play. No will to carry the team. Good overpaid support player. Can be great when he chooses to. Unfortunately he thinks he is playing well. The fans who watch can see the lack of effort.

The problem is Morgan Reilly and too many of the same type of players in Maccelli, Robertson, Domi, Cowan. I know Domi bleeds blue and white but the stats are what they are. Although he has been hot lately, I think Domi and Maccelli have to go. I have been impressed with Robertson this season.Resign McMann. Do you really want to lose your fastest player? I keep McMann and as hard as it is to lose Domi, and I love the guy, I think we can get a return on him.

There's an elephant in the room here…the player calibre of the team is fine…the fact the players are treated with kid gloves when they largely boil down to a generally lazy and gutless team who plkay without any intensity or guts is more of the problem…great teams hate to lose…these guys simply don't give a shit.
