Welcome back to PuckTalk MTL, your home for Montreal Canadiens previews, NHL analysis, and smart hockey discussion.
In this episode, Kosta looks ahead to Habs vs Wild and ask a critical question: does the potential return of Matt Boldy and Joel Eriksson Ek spell trouble for Montreal?
We break down how the Minnesota Wild change when those two players are in the lineup, from added scoring punch and physicality to tougher matchups down the middle. How does their presence impact Minnesota’s forecheck, special teams, and overall pace? More importantly, how can the Canadiens adjust to counter that added threat?
This preview dives into lineup questions, goaltending expectations, and the tactical areas Montreal must get right—neutral-zone play, defensive coverage, and transition defense—to stay competitive. We also analyze which Habs players need to step up and how Montreal can exploit opportunities if the Wild are still reintegrating key pieces.
Whether you’re a Montreal Canadiens fan, a Minnesota Wild supporter, or a dedicated NHL and hockey fan, this video delivers matchup context, strategy, and storylines you need before puck drop.

I hope dobes starts ❤
Dobes deserves his first shoutout
My prediction is a OT game! If we take a point in this barn I'd be very happy coach!!
We didn't have Dach or Guhle last game against the Wild ( I think ) – it really balances out the team. And we've got a goalie who can steal a game!
