Why Mike McCarthy is a great hire for Pittsburgh 🏈 #shorts

  1. Just watch the playoff game against Green Bay. McCarthy’s cowboys were not prepared and got killed by a less talented team.

  2. I’m a ravens fan and I hate the steeler but I’ll admit that I’d be mad with the hire. Just like the ravens they’re a defensive minded team, it’s hard to convince fans who have had the same head coach for 20+ years that something new is good. Plus as everyone else said he was a mediocre coach at Dallas, the one thing going for him is now at least he’s the coach at a team that is solid organizationally, not run by a maniac named Jerry jones.

  3. McCarthy did NOT develop shit 😭😭😭 ALL of those QBs he worked with were already finished products by the time he got to work with them

  4. All teams, and especially the steelers with McCarthy, should hire an in-game strategist that manages the clock, time outs, and deciding whether to go for 2 and 4th downs. That was always McCarthy's weakness and it cost the packers and the cowboys multiple playoff wins.

  5. This YouTuber’s analysis is mathematically correct.

The only thing that it is overlooking, though, is how motivating fear and dread are. More specifically, those uncomfortable emotions that The Steelers’ purported, soon-to-be-signed special consultant John Goodman will be bringing to each game, in his role reprising his Coach Adams role, from “The Revenge Of The Nerds”.

As you may remember, through his immortal line, “You just got your arses whipped by a bunch of goshdarned nerds” he was able to mobilize the most dejected football players ever. Though that resulted in them doing wrongs they would later regret, this much more mature and seasoned John Goodman could certainly use his words to motivate The Steelers to do their very best.

Whether he will stick to leveraging ALL professional athletes’ biggest fears (losing to/being embarrassed by nerds), remains to be seen. Whatever the vector that Mr.Goodman will use, will certainly rouse these Steelers to win big!

That long overdue 7th Super Bowl ring is on its way.

    Go Steelers!

  6. Steelers wanted Tomlin out, he left under his own will, and now Steelers fans are all pissed. Thats why you dont pressure a legendary coach out. If Steelers fans dont like this hire, next time, dont put pressure on a legendary coach with the most wins in franchise history to leave.

  7. Rodgers had good mechanics coming out of college. His footwork was elite. His throwing motion was good. He held the ball high, that’s it.

  8. You were constantly hating on Mike Tomlin for not winning a Super Bowl in a decade and choking in playoff games. Now, your team replaced Tomlin with a head coach who hasn’t won a Super Bowl in over a decade and chokes in playoff games, and your calling it a great hire. Something doesn’t add up 😶

  9. Pittsburgh native Mike McCarthy and Aaron Rodgers together to make amends to Steelers fans for the Packers beating Tomlin's Steelers in a Super Bowl match.

  10. Yeah but they won with a good roster our roster is ass and always has been T*mlin was boosting us to “relevance”

  11. You must be a Tomlin guy and you like the new mike because he's just like Tomlin win the regular season and lose in the playoffs that's why he got fired twice he won only one playoff game since 2017
This must be the new normal for the steelers win the regular season and lose in the playoffs
Because losing in the playoffs doesn't matter winning the regular season does
    The Steelers new slogan

  12. I’ll just speak for me, I don’t have a problem with the hire. I just don’t want Aaron Rodgers back, that’s my only complaint. With Aaron Rodgers as your quarterback at 43 years old. It limits what you can do from the quarterback position. You can’t run quarterback draws, no RPO reads, no naked boot legs. Not to mention he has one foot in retirement and one on the football field. As one that has played football, that’s a bad combination.

  13. I am absolutely stunned the Steelers who have only had only 3 different HCs since establishing their dynasty in the 70s has decided to go ahead and ruin all that by picking an HC that’s offensive schemes were stale and one dimensional in GB going back to 2018.

I think just the Dallas debacle alone should have been enough of an opportunity to demonstrate MM’s expiration date came and went awhile ago.

Especially in a league that is moving in a completely opposite direction from McCarthy’s coaching style and schematics

The fact that Rodgers is still there means almost nothing compared to the reality of what actually is. Lets not forget he had Rodgers as a starting QB, a league MVP multiple times during the McCarthy , not to mention he had Favre before that.

He went to one Super Bowl and won with Rodgers but it’s more likely that was in spite of him being the HC, not because of it

  14. Please give Howard his chance. Don't cut him out. The kid has the build and raw talent. Shape him into that dawg. He balled during the playoff run. He's the reason ohio state won. He is quick and can process. Above avg arm. Strength with room to grow.
