  1. With Panarin's departure, Rangers lose major scoring but shed a huge contract. Its a done deal.
But trading Trocheck is certifiably insane.
Reasonable cap hit, wins face offs, secondary scoring, one of the few with grit and leadership.
We don't need all those anymore? All the new kids on the block don't need veteran mentoring?
Watching this GM destroy the team reminds me of an infamous local medical malpractice case, where a patient had to have a leg amputated – and the doctor cut off the wrong leg.

  2. My guess at this point is that Panarin is going to be traded to the Sharks or Caps. I don't know if he would agree to go to the Caps, but he is reputed to agree on a move to the Sharks with an extension. I prefer the Sharks because I think he could bring back a nice package there. Brody Lamb who is averaging almost a point per game has apparently been moved to center by Minnesota, which is a positive, as the Rangers are really short on center talent. Rangers picked up Iorio on waivers which could be a good depth move for the D.

  3. Just like before. Let’s not develop any players, trade off the good ones. Let’s make all the other teams better just like we did for Tampa years ago. Maybe the problem is the two at the top. Dolan and Drury. The knocks only started to become great… when… it’s the upper management not knowing how to put a team together and develop players in the minors. As usual the Rangers make no sense.
