I think we get a good prospect a shit roster player and a 2nd round pick conditional on a cup win which will go to a 1st but will never happen dor a team with panarin on it. We are fucked.

Panarin is never going to the Isles. Guaranteed! Drury would be tarred & feathered. San Jose is most definitely not on the periphery. According to a reporter for that team Panarin would go there with an extension. Since he'd go there a package could be negotiated & they have some good pieces.
I would love to see him go to the Islanders and stick it up Drury’s butt !!
personally, part of me hopes he doesn't reach an agreement with anyone and waits it out to leave as a UFA. That way we get zero in return and he walks. Drury looks like a fool, the retool is so stunted they are forced to tear it down and rebuild for real. We are going to waste prime Igor and not even get back to a Cup final. At least with Hank he got a shot. Igor is never going to get near a Cup as long as he stays in NYR. NYR is not a serious hockey organization.
Drurys past 5 drafts are loaded are absolutely abysmal!! Next 2 drafts are loaded I have no faith in him righting this “retool”. I can’t believe I’m saying this but I believe we would have been better off having Gordie Clark making the picks!!
I saw something recently that was a deal to Seattle (with a re-signed Panarin) for Wright, a 1st/2nd and either Kartye or Evans. I find that quite attractive for both sides, but why SEATTLE would buy in is the confusing part
