   i think panarin's value is maybe slightly overrated by rangers fans, but its frankly SEVERELY underrated by non rangers fans holy shit.
   If brock nelson got callum ritchie and a first youre out of your mind if you think panarin especially with an extension (which he wants) is getting someone better than ritchie, a first, and then either a mid pick or a mid prospect.
   also, like 5-6 teams are extremely interested, upping the value.

   Omg. Panarin is a top 10 elite player in this league. Anywhere between 5-8. Saying teams giving up average players for him is a bit much is ridiculous.

    Rangers should be looking at young/high end prospects at LD and/or RW. Bringing in a young C is pointless when the Rangers aren't moving off of Zibanejad or Miller (and have Laba at 3C). Bringing in a high end young C just to change his position or bury him is just making the same mistake they made with Kakko, Lafreniere, and Chytil–high end players need a lane to succeed, and Sullivan will never let a young C grow through developmental warts when he has Zib/Miller to play in that spot instead. The lane is more open at RW and LD.

    I wouldn’t want to give up Lakovic for Panarin, and think it’s unfair to say he hasn’t put up many points this year considering his season ended with an injury. He’s still second on his not very good team in goals, 2 behind the leader while playing 23 less games.

    In the long run I’d avoid giving up top prospects for Panarin if I’m the Caps. I would for someone like Robertson, but I’d prefer the Caps to move forward with youth.

    I think your forgetting an Old Brock Nelson got a First, Colorado's top prospect, and some change, and Claude Giroux got a first and Owen Tippet, no way Panarin gets less then these guys, especially if he gets an extension

    Lol ZERO chance Stevie Y gives NYR Danielson for Panarin. Robert Thomas is the only one in the rumor mill that's worth Danielson. Detroit needs a 2nd pair Dman and a 2C, that's it. With that said, he's not going to get an overwhelming package in return. He will be 35 years old by the time next season rolls around. The Caps and Canes are the best fit for him. I doubt he wants to go to the west coast but a LAKings offer of a 1st and maybe a bust with potential like Turcotte or Kraken similar offer of a 1st and Wright..might be the best offers they can get🤷‍♂ My money is on the Caps or Canes tho.

    The Rangers should get a king's ransom for a 80+ point per game guy. They could do pretty good for Trocheck too. If Drury does this right (which is doubtful) a rebuild could immediately be well underway.
