Svech just needs to take less penalties. Tough to score goals from the penalty box.
And im sure he'll be one of our best players in the playoffs again
I’ll admit I have changed my whole attitude towards 37
He’s on fire and I’m now a fan.
I think Elers needs to be on a different line
He’s dropping in production with the Checking line with the Jordan’s
always glad to see my favorite Cane cashing in goals
The GMs of the past 20 years are the reason the second cup has eluded the Canes. They've favored drafting little guys with impressive stats in college play, over bigger/stronger/grittier guys with lesser stats. The thing is, a big player with potential can get better by playing in the minors, but a 5'7" 170lb guy can't turn into a big/tough player.
IMO, aside from the first line, there should be no lines with more than one junior high-sized player on it. Fans love Blake and Stankoven, but the two on a line together get muscled off the puck, roughed up, and thrown to the ice like dolls. And when thugs start pushing Blake around and Stankoven jumps in to help out and gets knocked to the ice like he was made of straw–all I can do is wince and laugh a little. Same happens when Jarvis gets roughed up and Aho comes to his aid.
Gotta face facts: the deeper you go in the playoffs, the rougher it gets until it's last man standing. The Canes need to add size/strength and grit to be able to push back against thug teams like the Panthers. Just watch replays of the playoffs for the past three years. Who ended the Canes' runs? Florida twice and the Rangers once. Two of the thuggiest teams in the league. The status quo roster will end with the status quo result. Time to move on from acquiring little players with great college stats. Time to face the reality that this is a very rough contact sport and size and strength do matter.
so glad this team is actually good! they always sucked in Hartford! some of us in CT still root for the Canes! Lets Go Canes! 💚💙🤍🖤❤
