What about trying to pry Jonathan Kovacevic back from N.Jersey ..?? He fits what we NEED ..!! AND …He could slide right in ….Great defensive play …physical…stay home …!! He was a +11 on a poor Habs team ..!! Send STRUBLE AND A PICK ..?? MAYBE ENGSTROM ..?? OR BECK ..!!??
Great work Shaun Starr! Sorry I stopped listening to your morning show on TSN 990 because your co-host kept on calling Elon Musk a N@zi. He has severe TDS and doesn't realize using that word frivolously loses it's meaning. Happy to see you here without politics 😄
The east is thighs AF , not gonna be many sellers in the east at the deadline . It’s gonna be quiet , there’s not much Kent Hughes can do . He can’t really aquire any impact player as who would sit when newhook and Laine get back with an already 25 men roster?
Some of you will be disappointed if you think a trade is coming , if there’s a trade it’ll minor . Probably trade one of the many extra wingers for late pick or career AHLer

Evans-Danault-Anderson
Veleno , Gallagher , Blais , struble , Laine
They’re not trading struble as they need an nhl ready defenseman and upgrading on struble would only means that they would sit xhekaj and that’s not happening in the playoffs . Next Laine , Veleno , Blais and Gallgher have no value
So if they did aquire an impact player who would they sit? Texier? Anderson?
There’s almost zero chances that the habs make a big trade, all the rumours that suggest that the habs are interested in certain players , are just that “ rumours”
Most likely that they’ll waive Blais and trade Veleno for a very late pick.
Much better cam Marco 👍
19:35 Another reason not to buy the non-call on Manson (vs. Guhle) is the tripping/interference call on Kapanen the night before. Does the NHL even train the referees so that there is a standard of what is a call/what is legal? This is a HUGE problem in the NHL. I 100% agree with Marco when he talks about "consistency" because consistent good performances are the first step toward "greatness." What does the NHL not hold referees to this basic standard? They are incompetent and the system within which they work is flawed.
25:57 I have to disagree with this groupthink mantra that the Avalanche are "the best" in the NHL. They remind me of the paper tiger Capitals getting all those points when playing in the weak Southeast Division and then getting blown out of the playoffs around 2010 time frame. Let's face it, the Avs are certainly a good team but they are not "the best" and they are not unbeatable. The M&M strategy works: shutdown McKinnon and Makar and you will probably win. These are not the Avs of the Sakic-Forsberg "one-two punch" days when I lived in CO and watched all the games; they are weak in secondary scoring. The Sens beat them Wed, the Habs slaughtered them Thurs, and we'll see how their other former rival the Red Wings do Saturday. I am telling you guys, the Altlantic Division is the measuring stick right now. The Habs are 18-6-0 vs West teams. No matter what the stats say, that conference is weak. Let me see records vs. Atlantic Division teams and I will tell you if your team is any good or not. I still root for the Avs when they are not playing the Habs, so I am not an Avs hater. I just look at what is happening and notice the patterns to which no one else seems to be paying attention. Let's see how it plays out.
