Shout out to your podcast who is the only media outlet are smart enough to discuss about trading Matthew instead of discussing about the spare part on the team which everyone knew how to dealt with them . Either you like 34 or not, the fact is his contract expires in 24 months and the chance he is resigning is slim and one injury away from LTIR again, please MLSE don’t allow the Mitch disaster reoccurring again, the city can’t take it. Please trade him NOW to L.A. when he is healthy. Please don’t go all in again. Be conservative because 34 has a long injury history
Not a berube problem?? They are last in the league in almost every defensive stat
They have to move M.Rielly, he needs a change. Rielly and B.McMann to the Oilers for J.Walman and Quinn Hutson.
Special place
Flintstone
Outrageous eggs 🥚
Pierre is missing the point here again. The Leafs offense is good enough to be a playoff team, it isn't the problem. It's around 10th-12th right now I think, and that's with Nylander being out, Tavares showing his age, and an absolute garbage PP to start the year.
It's their defense and goaltending that has been atrocious. They built a defense of 6 fine NHL defenseman, but the 7th is a bottom pair AHLer. So when injuries hit, and yes every team has injuries so that's not an excuse. It effects the Leafs more than other teams because the GM built a team with absolutely zero depth on the backend with a coach that doesn't have a "plug and play" type system.
Not only that it's their 3rd period play specifically. It's like they start a new game every 2nd intermission. When they're ahead in the 3rd and the other team makes a push, there is no push back, they just try to hold on for dear life for 20 minutes. The game in Vegas in perfect example, good 2 periods, then hold on in the 3rd and piss away a point. That is 100% a Berube problem
Would love it if Toronto would stop trading with Boston. We always come out on the losing end even with those great Toronto Maple Leaf hockey minds.😅
Treliving and Berube should have never been hired to begin with but the problem was not firing Shanahan ages ago.
They’re old and not good
When you look at their minor-league hopes the top six scores nobody’s under 25
Drafted poorly, you have nothing behind who’s on this roster
You have no draft capital you have nobody anybody else wants to trade for
You have guys in terrible contracts, where if there was a little interest it’s quickly squashed
No one‘s gonna wanna come over here there’s shit over here. You don’t wanna come over here that’s on top of the city and the pressure and the crazy expectations.
Trade deadline coming up and you have very little to nothing to offer and in a dreamworld you’d like to make a dozen trades maybe you could get a mid round pick for McCabe but he’s playing her. It looks like shit out before the end of January. That is something at least the Olympics can take your mind off it for a couple weeks.
Not a Berube issue? He played Jarnkrok 15 mins last night. Domi played 20 mins. Laughton played 12. He has no idea how to play his guys. All year he's been doing this and the record shows
Serious Pierre, it they had Wayne Gretzky and Mario Lemieux in their prime, they’d probably be in the playoffs too meanwhile back in reality, they’re 10 out from the last wild card with no one to trade
Guys……ffs stop talking about marner, he doesn't play here anymore. I mean really, do you want to talk about what if they had Gilmour or Sundin back with their points. Give it a rest.
Trade the Leafs even up for the Marlies. And a box of Smarties.
Trade this panel of three…😂
Marner didnt want to be here. so it was a leaf problem. You say he was traded away, so out of context but fans know
Goals against are league worst. Coincidentally Tanev has been injured all season…
One common denominator between the Vancouver Canucks and the New York Rangers being dead last in each conference. One player can you guess!
Pierre, the goal scoring isn't the problem with this team. It's keeping the puck out of the net which is there downfall.
This team has not only failed this season but even with Mitch, two series wins in ten years just isn't good enough either.
