Oilers have no coach. Never have in the Mcdavid era. It is without a doubt the main reason theyve never won it all. You need a real coach. No one eins without one. Never hsppened. Never will
They may have come back and won, but the Oilers took a decade to build that team around Connor and Leon. The Sharks built a similar quality team around Celebrini and Smith in less than two years. SJ should be proud that they made 'em work so hard for it

Frustrating loss. Askarov was having a good game and im not sure I can blame those goals on him. Understand it's a young team and this is going to happen, especially against an offensive juggernaut like Edmonton. I can't wrap my head around the decision by Warsofsky to put Ferraro, Liljigren, and Wennberg out there in overtime against Edmonton. Hopefully they can bounce back in the next one

I hate to say this as a former goalie, but the Oilers played better when their goalie wasn’t even on the ice.
feel bad for ingram, all 3 of those goals weren't really his fault.
The Oilers have pylons in net, but they actually have elite offence to offset the porous goaltending. I don't think it'll do them any favours in the playoffs though. It's times like these when you wonder how much of the previous two finals runs Skinner had to do with.

Nice to see Oilers playing better hockey as the season goes on but their goaltending isn’t good enough for a long playoff run. So frustrating as I want to see McDavid win a cup. He’s just too good a player to not win a cup.

Interesting precident on the overtime goal. You can now push your defender into his own goalie and score. Nice
