Reviving that famous rivalry between Montreal and the Nordiques was a taunt to the Canadiens on the Avalanche’s part. It served them well in the past but not tonight!

Colorado can lose as many games as they want now. They will still make the playoffs. They are 19 points up on Uta who are 4th in their division. So in order for Colorado to not make the playoffs they would have to lose 10 in a row in regulation & Uta would have to win 10 games in a row. Which isn't happening.

The jerseys look great but I really don’t think the league realizes how disrespectful it is to Quebec City, when they refuse to give them a team.
Florida just lost to St. Louis which is great. They had games in hand on the Habs. Philly lost to Boston Which is also great. You want Montreal, Boston & Buffalo to keep winning since the 3rd, 7th & 8th spot are important. Teams not in the playoffs need to lose so that Montreal can easily make the playoffs. Otherwise if Philly & Florida would win that would put a lot of pressure on Montreal.

The av's takin up the tailpipe yet again. Both career backup goalies suck.
What a win, but the referees and video replay are the biggest problem montreal has to deal with, last 3 games phantom calls elbows to the head. Montreal has only won 50 % of video replay against the player safety and the video analysis on deliberate intent to injury a player. Hard to make playoffs when you have play against a team and refugees and video judges. Just love how nhl has changed since Bettman took over.

The North American goalies are well-bred and fully trained with the whole set of techniques, but Dobes has the grit and instinctive moves.
