Don’t you have to have players other teams want, to make a trade. Maybe a draft pick….oh wait…. Guess it’s selling sweaters and beer and raising ticket prices again this year.
This group peaked last year. Rebuild! Trade anyone if it helps the rebuild.
McMann, Robo, Laughton, OEL, Carlo, Stollarz.. Trade them all. These trades would give us a great start at the retool.
nobody is trading for mcmann , the guy didnt make the nhl until until he was 28 and was scratched several times last season, you would be lucky to get a 4th or 5th, the leafs issues will never go away until nylander and matthews are gone
we all heard the $5mil per rumor for bobby, it started with some Toronto sports media folks and if his agent can get it then good for bobby, but Tre better not be entertaining this amount

Get draft picks to make other deals. Some teams need what we got… find out who and get draft capital to flip for players we need. Example Maccelli for pick or picks, flip the picks for a D man.
Trade one below average forward for another below average forward. That’ll fix it. Usually you need something to entice the other team to make the trade. Who… where … wants what’s on the Leafs right now. They don’t have anything to trade
You can't really build around Matthews though lol because the league knows he is pretty much injury prone going forward and if he gets targeted and ends up missing Matthews 25-35 games a season that drastically decreases there chance to be anything special. They sre in purgatory with nowhere to go no prospects or draft picks to look forward too unless you hit a gem. Tavares is useless as a 2C, he needs to be given the Stamkos treatment and be moved to the net and be used strictly as a net front presence because he is just too damn slow. Which leaves basically a immature Willy as you're leader which clearly isn't what you want being an example in the locker room for young future leafs. Honestly everyone should be available for trade except Knies, Cowan, Robertson, Danford & Hildeby

One of the stupidest questions ever asked. Move him on to compete for a cup elsewhere. As if answer to winning a cup was trading Hyman? Nylander is the problem. No matter how offensively talented, it is the worse example for a team to be led a lazy, non-physical, defensive liability. Who want to go out and kill themselves and watch a moron not move his legs and drift around (unless he as a chance to score). Regularly, the Leafs are on a 4 – 4.5 on 5 penalty kill in their own end because Wee Willie wants to float around waiting for some else to do the work hard.
you guys are confusing the Maple Leafs as hockey team than a corporation. The higher ups will push to drag this team into a playoff position if they can. Profit Maximization first, product quality second.
The Leafs dont have a 2026 1st round pick. You didn’t miss out on Quinn Hughes. You literally had zero business even picking up the phone and calling the Canucks in the first place. You also don’t have a young 2C like Marco Rossi. You were never even in the vicinity of sniffing around a Quinn Hughes trade. 🤷♂️

Unless you can somehow upgrade don't trade McMann. The biggest leaf problem is they've gotten slower. He is the fastest player on the team.

Nylander should've been traded a while ago. Sure he puts up points in the playoffs but he's a lazy player and ge shows almost every game
If they wanted to do Fox for 88, that should have been done after the 2022 season. Trade Motte as well, re-sign Copp and Vatrano along with FA Trocheck. Pairs are Schneider-Miller, Lindgren-Trouba, N. Lundkvist-Nemeth. This would have given proper development to the young defencemen.
Obviously time to sell….and everybody should be on the table….and looks like a new GM and new coach are also needed…..forget about the playoffs if by miracle they might pull off some incredible run….they will just lose any round any way…this team has no heart, simply implode on themselves…..
Maybe this will seem crazy, but what about a three way trade with the Leafs, Devils & Wild….Stolarz, Reilly, Matthews to Wild for Wallstedt and Quinn Hughes (UFA in 26-27)…..trade Woll, Domi, McCann, Carlo , Nylander, Knies to Devils for Markstrom, plus Luke & Jack Hughes….this might make sense to Devils as Domi, McCann, Nylander, Knies played for Sheldon Keefe…..reunites Hughes brothers….frees up some cap space for Leafs….Markstrom & Wallstedt would make a great 1A and 1B Swedish tandem….Hidebey is 3rd string and takes over from Markstrom eventually….complete remake of Leafs…..not a full rebuild but more than just retool…..then if really want to get crazy sign Jason Robertson as free agent (teaming up on Leafs with brother Nick)…..obviously we would need Leafs to think completely outside the box (as I have) to do so…..a new coach and new GM plus new blood….new chemistry…..
