  1. If you told anyone from Canada or northern states 30 years ago that Florida would become the power house of NHL talent, they would have laughed. Well now we’re coping over it.

  2. I'm just glad Cooper is coaching Team Canada ! He seems to know how to deploy the proper talent at the right times .

  3. Sure, when he does it he's brilliant. When I do it in beer league I'm a cherry picker. Life isn't fair…..

  4. Paul Maurice is just weird. Leaving Bob in for 9 goals against was just dumb. Reminds me of Roy's last game for the Habs.

  5. Tampa also has a organizational system, and Syr. as their AHL feeder so to speak plays that same system, making it an easier transition to the show.

  6. it's great to see the tampa bay lightning (finally) getting the proper respect that they deserve. 🎊

…as i'm sitting at home in southern ontario, enjoying adult beverages and drinking all the tears of all the canadian-based team fans bellyaching about how their teams can't win the cup or make deep p-off runs.

if there's a canadian team to choose, it would be EDM (love the nuge) or i would love to see MTL win the cup if they can get their roster fixed right when the time comes. for now, their rebuild is ahead of schedule.

    go bolts ⚡

  7. Tampa looks dominant and key players will be back
Florida looks snake bit and cursed if you ask me
Oilers always have a chance but defensively look horrible
Don’t see this team not getting some injuries
Avs are pretty healthy and I can’t see that lasting to and thru playoffs plus Goaltending is still questionable in Colorado
I like Sabres Habs Sharks for playoffs run and can build momentum if they see the 2nd round
For SCF is see right now TBL in east
And Avs if they can stay healthy which I hardly doubt

  8. Florida has lost a lot of games because of bobrovskys drop in play. Games that last year would be 3-1 or 4-2 for the panthers are now 5-2 or 4-1 for the opposing team. I get they’ve won two cups, but this isn’t last year and the goaltending has let them down big time.

  9. No it's a non taxed home city problem people are just too invested to talk about it because of the degree to which it has ruined the game. There has been a non income tax based team in the final every year for at least the last 10 and they have won literally 50% of the cups.

There are 6 teams with no income tax, most in the south which is why the NHL won't close this or allow media to speak on it, it's directly leading to growth of the game In a market that for the longest time had been terrible.

  10. Their development system is excellent. Coop is a product of that system. Almost the entire team came up through the system and they have like 4 rookies contributing.

5 players are not from their system: Heddy, Holmberg, Paul, Guentzel, and Hagel.

That's it. And when they went for cup #3, 13 players had come from their development system.

    That's how you build champions.

    And Brisbois it's S Tier.

  11. Can you either use the city of the team or the name of the team when describing what each team is doing…kinda hard to keep up 😅

  12. All I will say is don’t let the Panthers sneak into the wildcard. Barkov is still waiting in the wings.

  13. All the injured Panthers are skating again. Just need my cats to make the playoffs and stay healthy. Then neutralize Kucherov like they did McDavid.

  14. Love both Florida teams, Tampa almost won 3 cups in a row. Florida might. And, if you love fighting, no two teams fight more with each other than rats n lightning… even in the off season at the country club!

  15. H.P., you forgot to bring up Tampa's #1 playoff problem: i love Kuch but he often disappears. I think because he avoids contact like china19!

  16. With the addition of the cap space and Florida being the least taxed state it makes sense for them to have better team as from a solely financial point of view they have a larger salary cap, the Canadian teams on the other end have more tax so the players are getting paid technically less at the end of the year, we also haven’t seen a canadien team win since 93’.
