I respect how Steve created this team. I think they should go for werenski and Alex tuck. And I think those two pieces would get us to the finals
The Wings have plenty of defensive depth in the farm system. Better to see if any of the AHL defensemen can do the job before making a deal for a defenseman from another team.
How are people criticizing Yzerman? He traded for one of the best goalies this year, nearly all the 1st round picks so far have been genuinely elite and are on absolute steal of contracts. Yes he could be maybe a little bit more aggressive to adding to this team, but I think this team clearly looks way different than the previous "almost playoff" teams. He needs to add AT LEAST a defenseman this deadline, but to criticize Yzerman right now seems odd
