Gotta See It: Sabourin bodies Miller before slick back-hand goal
Watch as Scott Sabourin lays the body on Colin Miller to take up residence in the crease before finishing off a slick back-hand goal to get the Ducks on the board against the Golden Knights.
When he hits the player and up until he hits the players it would appear as though he was facing backwards for the most part. So I don't think it's interference in that I don't think the check was deliberate, I think he was simply trying to get in front of the net but had prepared himself because he believed he was going to take a hit or two to get in front of the net. The defenseman was simply not expecting that the attacking forward would back skate towards the Vegas net and therefore wasn't expected that type of hit.

Nice
Hitting the man without the puck to the ice is not interference?

is that interference?
Interference for sure
Interference?
Rule 67 c): A minor penalty shall be imposed on an attacking player who deliberately checks a defensive player who is not in possession of the puck.

If Miller had already been there then yes but they were both skating for the same position and Miller lost.
If you say interference then you have never watched hockey

See how annoying that is?
