  1. I agree with the Sharks that having it a shorter term contract makes sense as Cags, Muk, Allan and Dickinson are all LDs either currently playing in the NHL or could be in a season or two.

Add to that Wallenius should be added to the Cuda next season. I expect Wallenius to get NHL games at the end of next season if he progresses as he has this season.

They are stacked at the LD position and getting deeper sooner rather than later with prospects developing and even more behind them in Wang, Sharp and Magomedsultanov.

On the other hand Ferraro has earned his next contract either for the Sharks or another team and I hope he gets everything he has earned. But for the Sharks, with the aforementioned LDs it makes little sense to sign him to a long term contract and may make more sense to move him.

I suspect the Sharks will get him to agree to a three year contract with a higher AAV. If they do sign him I am sure the contract will be good for him and the Sharks (gauging from the Wennberg and Eklund contracts).

  2. The rangers are a joke organization. I have a hard time believing anything from a team lead by the cancerous JT Miller. We still need a top RD, that doesn’t exist in this organization currently
