Typical Leafs doom and gloom coverage. Losing their best d-man for most of the year, and now no Willie for stretches. It's just injuries. This team is a playoff team, and you're seeing guys play minutes that they wouldn't if Tanev and Willie were healthy. Chill out.
The players reach out to fans all the time. They go to hospitals , food kitchens and food banks. . I see players continually giving sticks, pucks and autographs. The big issue is people in the so called media like this guy talking. You are tearing the team apart player by player. They have gone from their best season in 20 years to not likely making the playoffs. And the fault greatly falls on toxic media, like this report, and toxic fans pushing players away.
I am not saying I am an expert here BUT I would take the Leafs TEAM over the FANS. I get that it is hard as a fan BUT from what I can see. . . quit being crybabies and support your team!
The Maple Leafs organization doesn't care about the fans. How many ways do they have to show us? They don't speak to us. They don't share information we care about. They don't make important changes. What's more – is that they will never change because there are no consequences. Fans will continue to buy tickets. The organization doesn't care about us. Period.

I mean when you have a captain that makes no effort to backcheck on multiple occasions for game winners it does show the path this leaf team is going. No accountability, no effort, just coasting along with privilege that they will make it when they ain't earning any of it.
As long as Mathews, Reilly and William Bystander are playing for this team this is what you’ll get. They’re making their money. Berube is trying to coach an Uncoachable team.

It all started with the Marner trade. I don’t know about you guys, but I checked out of the Leafs ecosystem before the season even started. From the GM to the coaching staff to the current roster, the entire organization is a mess—just pathetic top to bottom.
Meanwhile, look at what the Jays are doing. Something special is brewing there. The fans, players, coaching staff, and ownership are all on the same page, fully committed to winning a World Series.
