The bears defense was stacked the year of the super bowl, if we had an offense that game we would have won, they did so well in the first half it brought 8 year old me so much joy seeing them winning but I knew that colts team was stacked too, honestly that game could have went either way
Not sure where all this support was for Lovie when they got rid of him lol. I literally remember so many fans being happy he was gone. I personally was indifferent but I clearly remember A LOT of people being happy about this decision.
Disagree strongly. Lovie Smith was not a great coach. He was a bad coach who was hidden by great personnel. If you look at his overall career, he has a losing record in both college and the pros.
His philosophy was way too conservative on both sides of the ball, and because of him, the defense was left on the field way too long every single game. He favored speed over power, so the defensive linemen got dominated year in and year out and put too much on the shoulders of the linebackers and DBs.
And to make things worse, the clown actually goes on national television and broadcasts their offensive strategy – “we’re a running team.”
The bears did well despite Lovie, not because of him. Had he been the head coach this past Saturday against the packers, the bears would have lost 27-3 instead of winning 31-27
Not only did they fire Lovie, they then extended Jay Cutler with a 100 million dollar contract. I think they made him the highest paid QB at the time. This is when I stopped being a bears fan.
And we have to do something for lovie cause if it wasn’t for his win against the colts we wouldn’t have Caleb Rome colston dj Kyle Luther Montez byard and more he truly deserves something from the bears organization and lowkey the panthers
To be fair you didn't get a new contract because of the fact that you admitted to playing with an concussion and already being 10+ years in the league. You would've gotten your contract whether with us or any other team until that espn interview where you blamtamtlybadmitted

BL been a real one.
Never got the respect he deserved in Chi. Props to Urlacher for speaking up for Smith.
The bears were the second most improved offense that year in terms of yardage. Only the saints were ahead of them.
As a Chicago Southsider. The whole city been saying this since that moment. Thanks Lovie for all the great years
It was Ted Philips that was the problem
Miss Urlacher and Lovie
One of the worst decisions ever, lovie Smith is forever a Bear
They are still shit
Coach Smith should still be Da Bears Coach. He should've left on his own term's and not fired.

Brian Urlacher was the best linebacker not named Ray Lewis for that whole decade.
Owners are stupid asf one bad season it’s coach fault why don’t you look at the players you moron
Lovie is not a good coach period has more losses then wins go to his college record he has more then 2 times more losses then wins he sucks

They fired Lovie cause they started 7-1 and finished 10-6.
That's when we were a defensive powerhouse .
Slowed down die young is so dope
Urlach was washed up. That's why he retired.
They didn't know what they was doing

I Always Respected Coach Smith, he was a winner. He guided a 🤏🏼above mediocre team to the SB. They had tuff teams & played hard.

He is the reason they got caleb lowkey.

That offer was from Jerry jones
Brian urlacker she be a linebacker coach or a defense a cordanator I think he will be great it
Well, to be fair, you gave your body the team. However, you were not the same player anymore, your body was the real reason.
Lovie stayed too long actually
